• I know many people who don’t care about religion and have an easy life

• This so-called loving God tore my family to pieces.

• My father contracted a chronic illness and became a nasty person

• My mother was forced to become his full-time nurse

• My dad aims all his frustration at me

• My brother fails at keeping the peace

• Then my sister committed suicide

• I am as angry as my dad and loathe myself for it

• I don’t want to hear about God, angels, Love and religion

• I don’t want to know the meaning of everything

Answer: • I will not quote from the Bible • I am not a Christian or religious • You were brought up to believe in a

loving God • You still want to believe God in loving • You are also angry at God

Page 9: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

• It is OK to be angry at God • However, don’t let the anger

control and ruin your life • You need to let go of the anger

and get something in its place

• If you don’t want to know about God, then change the word to belief/basis/whatever

• Each religion has its own view of what is right, and how to fix what is wrong

• God is not religion and religion is not God

• Take the wisdom from your religious upbringing and discard the rest

• You will not go to hell. Use your common sense.

• We are born into a culture and religion

• During our formative years we believe everything our parents say

• We do get to a point where we question their word

Page 13: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

• For some people the church provides answers

• Others have to keep searching

Page 14: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

• ‘You will become stronger through this’ is often not the answer

• Eternity does exist and that is where we came from and will return to

Page 15: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

http://www.elsabesmit.com

• We do not go to heaven or hell and do not need to repent for our sins

• This lifetime is part of the journey

Page 16: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

http://www.elsabesmit.com

• We are born to learn particular things about ourselves

• When we have gained the wisdom, we return to eternity until the next life

Page 17: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

• Your wisdom relates to your experience with your parents and siblings

• You will become stronger from the lessons

Page 18: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

http://www.elsabesmit.com

• How do you grasp and understand the lesson?

• First practical suggestion is to get an A4 exercise book

• Wake up half an hour earlier every morning

Page 19: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

http://www.elsabesmit.com

• Write three pages – no more, no less

• If you don’t know what to write next, then write exactly that

• Do it when you wake up, while your censor is still asleep

Page 20: What Does God Think He Is Doing?

• Don’t tell anyone about it • Write only three pages per day • Don’t read any of it for the first

two months • Accept your strong emotions • Accept the changes in your

handwriting
