This lecture will be an overview of the role of exercise testing in the evaluation and treatment of congenital heart disease. It will briefly discuss the basics of how cardiopulmonary exercise testing is performed. It will then use three different types of congenital heart disease to illustrate how exercise testing can be used to identify and treat limitations of physical activity and performance in congenital heart disease of varying severity.
