Jesus lived a perfect life because we couldn’t.
He offered himself as a sacrifice because He
loves us. He was raised to life conquering
death and the grave so that He could forgive
us. All we are to do is receive the gift of eter-
nal life by placing our faith in Jesus, and show
our faith by turning from sin. When we do
that, God gives us a new spirit with new desires
and the power to resist the Devil and his temp-
tations.
If you would like to receive God’s gift of eternal
life, you can do so right now.
“now is the day of salvation”
(2 Corinthians 6:2)
Confess that you are a sinner deserving hell
Believe with all your heart that Jesus can save
you from hell
Repent from sin (repent means to turn from
sin, and to God)
Ask Him to give you the power to overcome
sin, and change you to the person he has calledyou to be.
You can pray something like this…
God, I confess that I have sinned against you
and I deserve the penalty. I don’t want the
penalty, and I believe that you paid it for me
already by your sinless blood on the cross.
Jesus, I pray that you send your Spirit to live
inside of me to empower me to turn from my
sins and change me into the person you want
me to be.
Remember, saying a prayer doesn’t save you;
repentance from sins and faith in Christ does.
Romans 10:17 says that faith comes from hear-
ing the Word of God. To help you connue in

8/20/2019 What Do You Need Really
http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/what-do-you-need-really 2/2
Do you need food?
Between the local food ministries and gen-
erous charitable organizaons coming out
to bring food to the homeless, most of
Fresno’s homeless can easily nd 3 hot
meals per day.
Do you need money?
The queson is what would you spend it
on, really? Studies show that the vast ma- jority of ‘chronically homeless’ people are
addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and
spend the money they get to feed their
addicon.
Do you need shelter?
With access to the local shelters, there is
plenty of room available for those who are
willing to make the choice to leave the
homeless lifestyle and assimilate back into
society.
SO WHAT DO YOU NEED, REALLY?
THE FACT IS, one day your me on this earth
will be over, and then you will stand before
God to give an account for the life that you
have chosen to live.
“So then, each of us will give an account of himself
to God.” ( Romans 14:12)
“It is appointed for men to die once, and after this
comes judgment” (Hebrews 9:27)
According to God’s word, if you have broken
God’s law (if you have sinned) then you, along
with the rest of us, deserve the wages of sin,
which is death (and according to the bible
means eternity in hell).
“The wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)…
“...their place will be in the fiery lake of burningsulfur. This is the second death” (Revelation 21:8)
THIS MEANS THAT WHAT YOU REALLY NEED IS
SALVATION
Is there hope for you?
Though you are a sinner that deserves God’s
wrath, He loved you enough to send His son to
die in YOUR PLACE! Jesus, while hanging on
the cross, was punished as if He lived your life.
In return, God is oering to treat you as if youlived His! Every sin you commied in your life
was nailed to the cross while Jesus’ perfect and
sinless blood was shed for your ransom. Jesus
rose from the dead 3 days later and took the
authority to forgive all of your sins.
God is willing to forgive everything you have
ever done so that when you see Him on the
Day of Judgment you can stand condent in
His presence knowing that He will welcome
you into the kingdom of Heaven forever!
“For God so loved the world that he
gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life.”
(John 3:16)
This gi of eternal life is yours, for FREE!
But God commands you to turn to Him
with all of your heart, and turn away
from a life of sin… a life directed by
YOU… a life that leads to death. The
bible promises that God is worth it.
“What good is it for someone to gain the
whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
(Mark 8:36)
