That’s a lot; so why are we told that:
“Joseph Smith, the Prophet and Seer of the Lord, has
done more, save Jesus only, for the salvation
of men in this world, than any
other man that ever lived in it...”
Because he had faith that God would answer his prayers...
He taughtus thatthe Fatherand theSon live,and stillspeak to men...
He restored the plain and precious truths of the gospel...
He received the AaronicPriesthood...
He received the Melchizedek Priesthood...
He received the keys for saving ordinances...
He restoredThe Church of Jesus Christ to the earth...
He sealed his testimony with his blood...
He lived great, and he died great in the eyes of God and his people...
D&C 135:3
“I feel like shouting hallelujah,all the time, when I think thatI ever knew Joseph Smith, theProphet whom the Lord raisedup and ordained, and to whomHe gave keys and power tobuild up the kingdom of Godon Earth and sustain it. These keys are committed to this people, and we have power to continue the work that Joseph commenced, until everything is prepared for the coming of the Son of Man.”
