2. TRACK.. When I first picked my track, I was advised to pick somehting out of my comfort zone and push my self. Therefore I chose a track that genre I knew nothing about. After finishing my research I still had no inspiration for the performance side of my track. I played my track out loud to my media class to gain feedback on what to base it on. Summarising what they said was to stay within the relationships such as Lyrics and visuals meaning linking my lyrics to the performance of a love story. Because I was working on my own, I did not have anyone to bounce ideas off or collaborate with. So by asking feedback I gained a couple of ideas and was able to continuing brainstorming. 3. FIRSTLY At the start of the research stage, I did not really know what audience my genre was aimed at. After surfing the internet, I finally came to the conclusion that Rock and Roll was aimed at many ages due to the recent fashion trend of vintage. Therefore I handed out a questionnaire to a verity of ages from 16 to 40 that consisted questions of what is your favourite music video and why? What is your opinions on the rock and roll genre? and what would you expect in a rock and roll music video?. By giving it a huge age range I thought that I would be able to gain a bigger audience and also gain a larger interest. 4. RECEIVED INFORMATION: PLANNING I collected in the questionnaires and by surprise some of the responses were similar. For example people wrote down similar things in relation to rock and roll. They expected 1950s/60s clothing, guitars and interments, retro/vintage and the idolised image of Elvis Presley. From this information, I used the general knowledge of my audience and forwarded it into my music video. I used costumes that was similar to the 50s: polo shirts, spotted circle skirts and plain cardigan. On the other hand, keeping to my idea of the in trend the costume for the lead singer was still in relation to the genre but with a 2013 twist. He wore a bowtie with braces, smart trousers and shoes. 5. Another thing I learnt was that the music videos people liked the most was most modern such as Katy Perry - E.T. and story lines that link with the lyrics Katy Perry TGIF. I took this information and analysed the lyrics to try and write a story line that would compliant the lyrics and also sticking to the same genre and context of the track. By giving the audience what seemed recent and relatable I felt that my music video would have a larger target audience. 6. TEXT To gain the right text for my digipack and website, I went onto DAFONT to find the correct font that linked with my genre. Along side my research of rock and roll bands I found 3 suitable fonts that would reinforce rock and roll image. I placed an image on two social media websites ( Facebook and Twitter) to get opinions on which font most relates back to rock and roll. Here is the feedback I got 7. DRAFT1: After I had completed editing, I uploaded my first draft onto YouTube and shared a link onto Facebook so my friends and family could give my constructive feedback such as things they liked and which bits needed to be changed. From the feedback I learnt thatI needed more editing in my video to make it look recent and to also get my marks up. Use dissolves and fades to smooth out my cuts because it looked to sharp for the soft and slow track. 8. CONCLUSION Overall, by asking for feedback and opinions I was bale to achieve a suitable music video that is aimed at my audience and related to the genre. Without the feedback I would have not seen the improvements and would have been PANTS! My peers gave me feedback that helped improve my music video and now is looking slick and professional.
