There are four special kinds of pronouns:

A demonstrative pronoun points out a specific person, place, or thing. These are four demonstrative pronouns

An interrogative pronoun is used to begin question. There are five interrogative pronouns:

Indefinite pronouns refer to people, places, or things, often without specifying which ones.

• Spanish has two pronouns for “you”– TÚ = YOU– USTED = YOU

• The difference relates to the “social register”– TÚ = YOU(FAMILIAR)– USTED = YOU(FORMAL)

• Because of its grammatical properties, usted will always be grouped with él and ella (like-wise, ustedes will be with ellos and ellas)
