What is the Spring Show?
• Show Date: March 27th
• 200+ Dancers• SOLD OUT SHOW!• All genres: hip-hop, bollywood, salsa, modern, jazz,
tap, tango, swing, bhangra, and more!• All student-choreographed• Exhibitions and solos (audition-only)
How Do I Get Started?
Member Choreographer Leader
• $45 1 year membership at WGAworld.com
• Placements Oct 15 6PM–8PM in Hoover Lounge
• 1 hour/wk Jan - March
• $45 membership• Lead weekly rehearsals• Choreographer auditions
Oct 2 3PM – 5:30 PM in Platt
• $45 membership• 1st Year VP positions
available• Applications due 9/25
What Are Placements?
• Assess ability levels for diverse mix in each piece
• Learn a short hip-hop/jazz routine and perform in groups
• Meet the choreographers/learn about different styles
• Tell us your genre preference
• Monday Oct 15 6-8 PM in Hoover Lounge• Make up day: Wed Oct 17 6-8 PM Hoover Lounge
Choreographer Auditions
• Audition to choreograph and teach a number in the show (also includes exhibitions and solos)
• Tryouts on Tuesday, Oct 2 from 3:00-5:30 PM at Platt• Email [email protected] to sign up by 9/30• Prepare 3 – 4 eight counts or share video examples of past
choreography
Executive Board Positions
• First Year Co-Vice Presidents will assist Second Year Presidents with:– Social and Other Events – Production of Annual
Show – Marketing & Sponsorship – Operations (finances and
budget)
Exec Board Statement of Intent
• Applications due Tuesday, 9/25 at 11:59 PM

• Please include:– Why you are interested in the Dance
Studio board– Any relevant experience for your position– Any ideas you have for this position– Name, email address, and phone number

• September– 9/25 VP Statements of Intent Due at 11:59pm– 9/30 Choreographer Audition Sign-Ups Close 11:59pm
• October– 10/2 Choreographer and Exhibition Auditions, 3-5:30 PM at Platt– 10/8 Student Workshops begin– 10/11 Rainbow Pub with Out4Biz– 10/15 Placements, 6:00 PM at Hoover (Make-up on 10/17, 6-8 PM)
• November– Dances and dancers for March show are finalized and communicated
• December– Meet w/ choreographer and others in your dance!
