FROM THE PRESIDENTS PEN……

Greetings once again to all of you out there. Well another Festive Season and New Year have come around and been cast into history. The Executive have signed off the contract with Northland Property Maintenance, to allow them to start the overhaul of Hannah St., premises. We will have a board up in the club rooms shortly to keep members apprised of the progress. The intended start date is 27th January. During the refit, there will be day set aside by the builders, to allow conducted tours through, to view the progress. In house, there is a new raffle allocation on the notice board for 2020 and delegates (raffle convenors) from each Adjunct can pick a copy up from Reception. I visited Garry Bourke in Cairnfield House, last Friday. It is good to see he has made progress after his accident. Whilst there I met up with Api Theodore, who sends her best wishes and is happy to see anyone who has time to spare to go and visit her. There are currently some changes being made to the Executive body, which once finalised will be made known to you the members. The people coming on board, have a variety of skills in their own field to maintain the across the board talent of the Executive. On the entertainment side, the committee are looking to hold a ball probably in March. Also there is another “Country meets Brass on the grass”, being organised. SECTION NEWS Darts ‘Bull’etin Club Nights – Wednesday Format – Drawn Pairs Names in by 7:15pm Play Starts 7:30pm

Our year kicks off Auckland Anniversary weekend with us hosting teams from the Birkenhead and Tauranga RSA’s who will be here for the Annual Tri-Series Tournament. Players the teams and pairings are posted on our noticeboard.

The Club Champs dates for this year are: Open Singles March 7th Open Pairs April 11th Mixed Pairs May 16th Drawn Pairs June 13th Ladies Pairs July 11th Men’s Pairs August 15th Ladies Singles September 19th Men’s Singles October 10th Champ of Champs November 14th

Other dates to remember: Hams Tournament - December 12th. Accumulated Points - will start in March.

Line Dancers – Happy Feet Dance Day – Tuesday Instructor – Donna Bryant Venue - Clubrooms Start Time – 10:30am We will back dancing from Tuesday the 11th of February.
