“There are few aftermarket 3rd axis leveling devices that work great the

majority of the time, but nothing canreplace the confidence in knowing thatyou’ve shot your 3rd axis in. By doing

this you know with100% certainty thatyour sight is dead-on when you’re

shooting uphill and downhill.”— Eric Griggs Scott Archery

I can’t stress enough how important it is for you to practice upand downhill shots.Learning to maintain proper form and triggersqueeze can only be done through repetition. We all spend the vastmajority of our practice time with our feet planted on level ground, shoulder width apart and relaxed, but when was the last time yougot that kind of shot at a game animal? So get out and challengeyourself with some real hunting condition practice shots, you won’t

believe how it will boost your confidence.Whether you are in a tree stand hanging thirty feet in the air or

out west hunting muleys in some deep canyon, a properly leveledthird axis sight will help you succeed. If things are not set right youwill miss or wound an animal, plain and simple. Take your gameseriously and invest in a sight with third axis adjustment, if youalready own one then make sure it is level at full draw. p
