Wireless Gaming Adapter (WGA) Setup for WindowsThis guide will take you through the step-by-step setup for the Mad Catz wireless gaming adapter. The setup is more complex than plug and play butthese detailed steps will get you up and running. Before you begin, you will need to know the following things:

    1. Your WEP security code. This is the password you use when you create your wireless home connection. This code is used to protect the

security of your wireless network and can be obtained from your wireless routers control panel. If you are unsure about this contact your

Internet Service Provider for confirmation.2. Your static IP address is most likely to be obtained automatically. However, if you have a fixed IP address, make sure you have it noted down

for reference (as the address will be altered for the WGA setup). Once you have completed the setup, your static IP will need to be re-enteredin order for your PC to connect to the internet.

Due to some wireless routers do not support the Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) method, this guide is concerned with the Web Setup option for theadapter.

Start1. To start the Installation Guide insert the mini CD supplied with the product. The first page of the setup should look like this. Click the Start button.

    Troubleshooting Router Settings

If you have followed these instructions and the adapter does not connect, you might need to try altering your 802.11 mode on your router. If your routeris set to 802.11 b/g/n mixed, try changing it to 802.11 G or N only to see if that resolved the matter.

It really depends what kind of router you have. Each manufacturer puts it somewhere else, but usually the selection of the standard you want to use is

under Wireless Settings. Your router should have Mode selection there. As a manufacturer default, your router will be set to Mix mode of B, G and N, so any wireless card which uses one of the following standards will workwithout any setting changes. Without knowing what router you have, we can only offer an example by providing you with info how to change routermode on Dlink DIR-655 router
