Features, Advantages and Benefits

Weatherford's SRS 1.1 selective re-entry system creates Level 1 junctions with full lineraccess to the lateral wellbore in new and existing open-hole environments. It allows fornumerous, closely-spaced sidetracks from the parent well. It also enables re-entry ofany lateral while maintaining access to the parent bore through a large-diameter packer.

The SRS 1.1 system is based on proven Weatherford technology that incorporates amultilateral orienting latch assembly, which is used for both milling and production, andan orientation riser (O-Riser). The O-Riser, attached above an ACP™ annulus casingpacker, acts as a permanent downhole anchor and seal bore with a known azimuthreference. The orienting latch allows for a repeatable-releasable whipstock connectionin a consistent orientation during the drilling or re-entry phase.

The dual-use orienting latch assembly, which is used in bothmilling and production, allows numerous sidetracks to bedrilled from the parent well. These closely-spaced lateralsprovide access to additional reserves with a smaller footprint, optimizing productionwhile reducing drilling costs and minimizing the impact on the environment.

The SRS 1.1 system allows for both open-hole and slotted liner completions. This

gives the operator the opportunity to meet the requirements of the application in themost economic manner.

A large ID packer provides access to the lower zone in the parent bore and the SRS system can be used for remedial work in any lateral wellbore. These re-entrycapabilities allow the operator to make improvements that extend the life of thewellbore and quickly restore maximum productivity.

The SRS 1.1 system is appropriate for Level 1 junctions in open-hole environments,either in new development drilling or re-entries. Based on proven technologies thatreduce trips and save rig time, it is ideal for building simple, low-cost and low-risk

junctions in consolidated formations.

The system is particularly suitable for wells in mature fields where production ratesare declining, because it allows economical, closely-spaced laterals to accessadditional reserves while maintaining production from the original wellbore.
