Change to WFBA Fiscal Year End

The question has come up

many times as to why the

year of October through

September instead of Janu-

ary through December.

The current Board of Direc-

sense to address the

change at the 2011 WFBA

Golf Outing.

The option to change to a

January through December

A.J. Manufacturing, Inc. is lo-

cated in the Northwest WI city

of Bloomer. One of the largest

employers in the area, AJ em-

ployees nearly 200 during peak

construction season, and oper-

ates from four facilities. AJ

has built a reputation of Qual-

ity service, Product perform-

ance, and Innovative solutions

in the Post Frame Industry,

Industrial/Commercial HVAC

Industry, and in the Residen-

tial storm door market.

You are probably familiar with

the entry doors and windows

that AJ manufacturers for the

Post Frame Industry, but you

may not know about the HVAC

access doors and panels or the

residential Storm Doors. AJ’s

access, pressure-relief doors

and wall panels are installed

and delivered worldwide in in-

dustrial/commercial Air Han-

dling Units. AJ offers four

door thicknesses, six panel

thicknesses, in thermal and

nonthermal, over a dozen sheet

types and a nearly unlimited

size matrix, each built to order

for each customer. These

doors are designed and tested

on one of two air and water

test walls to meet the extreme

demands of various applica-

tions. The residential storm

doors manufactured by AJ are

marketed under private label

through hardware and home

improvement stores nationwide

and as the AJ Freedom door.

One thing is certain at AJ and

that is the Quality materials,

processes, designs and contin-

ued improvement are common

among all of the divisions. A

rapid development process has

contributed to the introduction

of the PARTNER™ and RE-

SPONDER™ series of doors,

The HARMONY™ and SILVER-

LINE with EZ-v™ trim win-

dows, the CEILING ACCESS

door, and the NIAGARA™ col-

umn bracket, as well as hun-

dreds of product improvements

and new products in the Ac-

cess and Storm door divisions,

over the past several years.

Clearly AJ’s engineers like to

innovate solutions for cus-

tomer requests and industry

trends.

Although their business, trade

territory and product offering

has grown significantly in the

last ten years, AJ’s hasn’t lost

sight of who has driven that

growth – their customers. AJ

credits its team of customer-

focused professionals who are

dedicated to service and qual-

ity. AJ feels like they are really

in the business of “YES”, and

just happen to manufacturer

doors and windows. AJ sin-

cerely thanks all of the mem-

bers of the WFBA for their con-

tributions to the industry and

to their customers that they

consider their number one pri-

ority.

The 22nd Annual WFBA Golf Outing

was held at Lake Arrowhead Golf

Course in Nekoosa, WI on Wednesday,

August 10. And yet again, we had a

great turn-out!

For the first time in a long time the

weather was a bit more tolerable then

in years past. The breeze that

seemed to be quite inconsistent was

either your enemy or your best friend!

A huge thank you goes out to all who

participated and also to the members

who either sponsored a hole, donated

money for door prizes or supplied the

event with a door prize! Believe it or

not, the big hit for a door prize this

year was a 5’ tall stuffed bear! Our

biggest mistake was not getting any

pics of it! Hopefully our door prize

shopper (Darcy) will remember it

again for next year!

course is the Waupaca Ale House and

Foxfire Comfort Suite Motel.

All of the members of the WFBA ap-

preciate all the hospitality that we

have received over the past few

years at Lake Arrowhead! We have

lots of great memories there and

perhaps will have the opportunity to

hold our event in Nekoosa again in

the future.

You spoke and we listened!

The 2012 Golf Outing is being moved

to a new location.

On August 8, 2012 the WFBA Golf

Outing will be held at the Fox Fire
