Desciption: A motivational montage using 2 or more imagesand using typography

    Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop

Process:I rst selected my images from the internet. I added masks

to the images of the constitution and map of America. I blended both ofthese images so they didnt take away from the main painting but still hada soft presence in the sky. I chose the font of the title to match the timeperiod and the text in the constitution. I added quotations to the bodycopy to show that it is a direct quote from George Washington.

Desciption: A double sided 3 fold brochurePrograms Used: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshopand Adobe Illustrator

Date: December 6, 2014Course # and Section: Comm 130 Section 5Instructor: Joel JudkinsObjective: Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.Write at least 250 words of original copy in at least three paragraphs, headers, and subheaders.Trim for a full bleed and print in duplex (two-sided) color.

Process: The rst thing I did for this project is gure out mydimensions and how it would all fold. This was a complicated process. Ihad to create drafts on paper so I could see it in 3D and understand how itworks. Once I had my dimensions and all my measurements aligned I thenbegan to start designing it in Adobe InDesign.I created the logo for the university in Adobe Illustrator and brought thatinto InDesign. All of the images I got from the internet and I put them intoAdobe Photoshop so they wouldnt be so pixelated once I printed it. I alsoused text wrap to move my text around the images and otherheadings I used.

existing logos or use previous designs.Use the new logo to design consistent layouts for a business card andletterhead. Letterhead should be 8.5 x 11, full-bleed optional, but trimonly .125. Business card should be 3.5 x 2. Apply typography rules, keeping small copy.Keep designs simple with light watermarks and drop shadows and plentyof white space.Include contact information: name, address, phone, and email on eachpiece. Use periods, bullets, or spaces in phone number;no parentheses/ hyphens .Process: I created the letterhead by rst bringing in the logo Icreated. I made one of them larger and added transparency so it wouldbe a watermark. I then created lines for where the letter would stop andend. The last thing was that I added the contact information.

Desciption: Design an original photo using a speci c colorscheme and demonstrate effective editing skills using Adobe Photoshop.

    Programs Used: Adobe Photoshop

Date: October 15, 2015Course # and Section: Comm 130 Section 5Instructor: Joel JudkinsObjective: Learn basic photography skills.Choose a color scheme, take a photo to match those colors, thenincorporate the colors into the layout.Use a digital camera to take a quality image, then download it.Adjust image levels, saturation, color balance, sharpen tool on separatelayers for NDE (non-destructive editing.)Use layers to design text, and repeating graphic elements in Photoshop.

Process:I rst chose to use a photo taken at night of the streets of

Rexburg. The color scheme was analogous as the street lamps cast theirlights on the street. I used a Canon D3i to capture this picture. InPhotoshop I used certain editing techniques such as using layers, selectivecolor enhancements and using greater vibrance and saturation. Thepicture itself was already interesting but with the color enhancements itreally brought it to life. The arrows used are an outline of the arrow frominside the photo, as well as the outline of the persons.
