Recording StudioThe virus has changed the world, but out of the darkness comes light. Evangelization has always been central to the Catholic Church and the week we were closed I made sure our Mass was available

on the Internet. We continue to reach out to 100’s each week with this powerful tool and the possibilities for other means of evangelization are endless. Ss. Simon and Jude received a grant from the Columbus Catholic Foundation and we are beginning to put together our recording studio.

After the Resurrection Scripture tells us that the “disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. . .They were filled with joy when they saw the Lord!” Do you see that? The resurrected Jesus was not stopped because of locked doors! This is a new time of evangelization as we build up the body of Christ, Ss Simon and Jude can enter into the lives of people through the Internet.

In the near future, we will have an Evangelization meeting to speak about our vision and seek new volunteers to record the Mass. It will be a live-stream, so Fr. Dwayne will not spend 3 hours processing video on Saturday night. PLEASE look in the bulletin for the date and time of our very important meeting.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL DRIVE of school basics is underway now and during the month of August. All donations will be split between local needy students at West Jefferson schools and students at Our Lady of

Guadalupe on the Westside of Columbus. Needed are pencils, pens, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks, notebook paper, paper folders, and binders – all the basics on your own child’s supply list.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS: The next schedule is being created for September, October and November. We will only need Lectors, and Ushers at this time due to Covid-19, pandemic. Please inform Janet Dunham in the Parish Office, by Sunday, August 9, the dates you are unavailable to serve from Saturday, September 5 through Sunday, November 29. OUR BLESSED MOTHER OF FATIMA GARDEN: The garden has just been recently renovated with the existing concrete pavers and repositioned by an anonymous donor. Please take a look at them and in doing so, observe the beautiful

flowers in the garden and around the church also stop to say the Rosary anytime or with the Rosary Group every Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.

SPECIAL REQUEST: As most of you know, Father Dwayne’s sister is in a nursing home and for the past months due to Covid-19, he has not been able to visit
