11082/10.WHEREAS by "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1904,"it is provided that any Crown lands may be declared totea State Forest within the meaning and for the purposeof that Act: Now therefore I, the said Governor, actingwith the advice of the Executive Council, and in exerciseof the power in this behalf conferred by the said Act, dehereby declare the lands described in the, Schedule heretoto be State Forests within the meaning and for thepose of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1904."

WHEREAS by Section 15 of "The Health Act, 1898,"the Governor may appoint any number of persons, notexceeding seven, to be a Local Board of Health for anyDistrict, not forming part of a Municipal District: Now,therefore, His Excellency the Governor of Western Aus-tralia, by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-tive Council, does hereby appoint the undermentionedpersons to be a Local Board of Health for the Districtof Balingup, such District embracing all lands within theRoads District of Balingup, and to be named the Baling-up Road District Local Board of Health:

2. I have to request that your Ministers will be sogood as to cause the conditions of the prize to be madeknown to those bodies and persons who are qualified tonominate candidates.

3. It will be observed that the names of candidatesshould be received by the Nobel Conuitt(T hetore the1st of February, 1911.

which is to be distributed December 10th, 1911, must, inorder to be taken into consideration, be laid before theNobel Committee of the Norwegian Parliament by a dulyqualified person before the first of February ot the sameyear.

Any one of the following persons is held to be' dulyqualified: (a) Members and late members of the NobelCommittee of the Norwegian Parliament, as well as theadvisers appointed at the Norwegian Nobel Institute;(b) Members of Parliament and Members of Governmentof the different States, as well as Members of the Inter-parliamentary Union; (c) Members of the internationalArbitration Court at the Hague; (d) Members of theCommission of the Permanent International PeaceBureau; (e) Members and Associates of the Instituteof International Law; (f) University professors ofPolitical Science and of Law, of History and ofPhilosophy; and (g) Persons who have received theNobel Peace Prize.

'1'lle Nobel Peace Prize may also be accorded to institu-tions or associations.

According to the Code of Statutes, Section 8, thegrounds upon which any proposal is made must be stated,and handed in along with such papers and other docu-ments as may therein be referred to.

According to Section 3, every written work, to qualifyfor a prize, must have appeared in print.

For particulars, qualified persons are requested toapply to the office of the Nobel Committee of the Nor-wegian Parliament, Drammensvei 19, Kristiana.

IT is hereby notified, for general information, that HisExcellency the Governor in Executive Council has beenpleased to approve of the areas scheduled hereunderbeing made available for selection under "The LandAct, 1898," and its amendments. The selector of aHomestead Farm from any location available underPart VIII. must take the balance thereof under Con-ditional Purchase, and a selector of a portion of anylocation available under Part VI. must take the balanceof same under Grazing Lease conditions.

The locations available under Part VI. are markedwith an asterisk.

Applications must be lodged at the Office of the Gov-ernment Land Agent for the District.

The date fixed as showing when subdivisions are avail-able denotes that applications may be lodged beforesuch date, but will be treated as having been receivedon the appointed day, and should there be any loca-tions not applied for after the date specified, such willcontinue available until applied for or otherwise dealtwith.

The locations with amounts set against them in thefourth column are available subject to the special con-dition that an expenditure of not less than one-fourthof the amount set out in such column shall he madeprescribed improvements in each of the first four yearsof the lease; but this shall not release the holder fromany covenant in the Agricultural Bank Mortgage re-quiring the improvements to be made at an earlier date.The advance mentioned is subject to the usual con-ditions governing a loan from the Agricultural, Bank,particulars of which may be had on application from theManaging Trustee.

SEALED Tenders (marked on the outside " Tenderfor the Kellerberrin Fruit and Bookstall Rights") willbe received by the undersigned until noon on the 1.7thday of November, 1910, for the leasing of the Fruit andBookstall Rights at Kellerberrin, for a period commenc-ing from the 28th day of November, 1910, and terminat-ing on the 31st day of May, 1913.

Rent will be payable quarterly in advance, and adeposit equivalent to one quarter's rent must accompanyeach tender.

Forms of tender and full particulars can be obtainedfrom the Station master at Kellerberrin, or from theundersigned.
