Student Affairs professionals grapple with ethical decisions in their role on campus as they interact with students, faculty, administrators and parents. To respond to these challenges, student affairs professionals must have a clear understanding of ethical principles and the role of ethics in practice. Our profes-sional organizations provide guidance to members through standards of practice and codes of ethics. We are also expected to understand legal implications and practices which guide our practice as well. In this session the facilitator will provide a brief overview of current ethical and legal issues for our profession and lead a group discussion around relevant case studies.
