*********************************************************************************** GR. 4-7 EXAMS: Parents please note that the learners are starting with formal examinations on the 17th of November 2015. Make

sure that your child has the necessary stationery to write with. NO borrowing will be allowed. The learners must come with the text books and scripts of the subject that they are writing as well as the next day’s books so that they

can study and hand in their books. Remember books that are lost must be replaced by paying R150.00 per item or if it is damaged R75.00. If absent due to illness, a valid medical certificate must be handed in or faxed to the office. If absent without excuse or making arrangements, 0% will be given for the exam. Parents please help your child to study and prepare effectively for this exam!

APPEAL:

Parents please note – if you are not satisfied with the outcomes of any assessment task, you may

appeal against it within 5 working days. Forms are available at school.

WATER SPORT: We will have our water sport day tomorrow, 12 November. Learners can still pay tomorrow morning (R50.00). Learners must come to school in home-clothes, make sure you have a costume, towel, sunscreen and a hat. Learners must still bring their school bags, which will be locked away if it does not rain. Learners who will not be participating in the water sports must wear school clothes. We are aware of the water shortage and will try to limit water wastage.

OPEN DAY FOR 2016 ENROLMENT:

We invite parents to our Open day on Saturday, 21 November 2015 for all our NEW enrolments. It will be from 09:00 to 10:00.

SICK LEARNERS: Please do not send your child to school if he/she is not feeling well. We cannot accomodate all the sick learners in the sick room.

MINI-CRICKET: Our mini-cricket season has come to an end as we will be writing exams. There will be no mini-cricket practise for the rest of this term.

SCHOOL FEES FOR 2016: Our school fees for 2016: Gr. 1-7 R5700.00 per learner per year. (R570.00 x 10 months) Gr. R – R9000.00 per learner per year. (R900.00 x 10 months)

MERIT EVENING: Please note that a photographer will be available for individual/family photos with their awards after the ceremony. Strictly cash.

Consent to leave early: After many requests by various role-players, the SGB made a decision to allow learners to leave

the school at 12:00 during the exam starting on 17 November 2015 and thereafter.

This decision was made in concurrence with the decisions of the neighbouring schools to close

at 12:00.

Parents need to complete the attached consent letter and send it back to school to indicate if a

learner may leave at 12:00 or not. Learners MUST be collected by 12:15 or they will go back to

class and stay there under supervision until 13:40. Learners will not be allowed to leave earlier if

a consent form is not handed to the class teacher.
