Principal’s Message
The Liverpool Plains Alliance is a group of eight Princi-pals that have joined together to plan, develop and im-plement programs across the schools to address com-mon needs. The alliance consists of the following schools, Quirindi Primary, Walhallow, Wallabadah, Spring Ridge, Blackville, Quirindi High, Willow Tree and Werris Creek Public. Our major project is the implemen-
tation of The Leader in Me (TLIM).
The Leader in Me teaches 7 Habits to assist students to deal with the challenges of life to become the best they can be. TLIM helps students become independent and to work well with others to achieve a goal.
TLIM helps students thrive as members of the school community, the wider community and as members of the future workforce. The 7 habits cover skills and qualities that parents and business leaders are asking the educa-tion system to teach. These habits are skills for life and can be embraced by anyone. Our staff are trained in the 7 Habits and are trying to use them in their private and professional life.
So far we have focussed on the first 3 Habits;
1. Be Proactive
2. Begin with the End in Mind
3. Put First things First
Don't forget to talk to your child about what it means to Put First Things First, to organise our time around the most important things.
Thank You

Expectation of the Week
Be positive to others - say something nice, give a compliment.
Put first things first. This means I
say no to things I should not do. I
set priorities and follow my plan.
I am organised.
This term in Year 2 we have been learning how to write information reports. We wrote about our favourite animal, the frog! Year 2 then completed some amazing artwork of frogs to go with our infor-mation reports.
“Spoon feeding in the long run teaches us nothing but the shape of
the spoon.”
E.M. Forster
