the Sony Librié

20052005 iRex Technologies BV was founded as an independent spin-off from Royal Philips Electronics NV

2006 iRex introduced the iRex iLiad, the world’s first interactive e-reader that you can write on in combination with wireless content distribution via the iRex Delivery Service

2007 iRex and Les Echos (FR) launched the first newspaper commercially available on e-paper in the world, followed shortly by NRC Handelsblad (NL) early ’08 and other titles

2008 iRex introduces the iRex Digital Reader series
