Key tasks

Part of the management team, making critical decisions on the running of the company

Managing the operational accounts office and assisting in the general office administration for over 14

Managing two staff, overseeing their training and supporting them in their roles

Management Accountant

Preparation of client’s management accounts including liaising with clients, general bookkeeping, input into the

company’s unique accounts software and including in depth knowledge of the software and general IT support.

The ten years with the company involved a de-merger from Meeson Makinson (Chartered Accountants) and a

merger with MacIntyre Hudson (Chartered Accountants) where my role started as the company’s accountant

and administrator with IT support to the whole company. The merger with MM saw me joining the small

accounts unit dealing directly with the clients on a day to day basis and performing general bookkeeping through

to management accounts and annual audits. This role continued with the formation of the company BBHW

where I also covered more in depth auditing.

Accounts controller and debt collector

Looking after customer’s electricity accounts and chasing overdue accounts via telephone and post. Cashiers

role included cash collection and end of day cashing up and daily reconciliation.

the editor with the abstracts for WSCA.
