About Moldova Once Kevin Stillmock, USA television entrepreneur said “I consider Moldova one of the best kept secrets on earth, in fact”. And I cannot agree more with him. Spending the past 7 months here, I can say that there is much more tosee that you can imagine.
Moldova remains a mysterious and misunderstood land: mixture between Romanian & Russian culture with visible signs from Soviet union. Independence has been economically painful and Moldova has been racked by civil war.
The country maybe gets a tiny number of tourists and isn't much set up for travelers, but this is one of its greatest charms. Some of the facts that canimpress you in this small country are:

Visa information
The person applying for visa needs to ask for type C - shortterm visa. You need the following documents:
Application Form; Travel document (passport) valid for at least 3 monthsafter the expiration date of the requested visa;A recent mat, colour photo 35mm x 45mm; Booking a round-trip ticket valid up to destination or, the driving license, the green card and the registrationdocuments of the vehicle, if traveling by car; Medical insurance valid on the territory of the Republicof Moldova (minimum cover of 30.000 euro); Invitation from individuals, companies, nongovernmental organizations or public authorities to participate to meetings, conferences, fairs or congresses related totrade and industry.
Invitation issued by the Bureau for Migration and Asylum or, the resident’s permit or valid Visa issued by one member state of the European Union or of States Parties to theSchengen Agreement (except TransitVisa);
Only valid for citizen who does NOT posses any type of residence permit for any of the EU countries! To issue this letter we need scan copy of all pages in which you have stamps or visas in your passport. To take the letter we need 10 days!
Proof of the existence of means of support during the stay in Moldova, at least 30 EUR per day, but not less than 300 EUR, for a stay shorter than 10 days (cash, travel checks, credit card, etc.) or, if applicable, the commitment of maintenance and accommodation filledand signed by a person from the Republic of Moldova;
Proof of accommodation (hotel reservation, proof of ownership or rent a house on behalf of the applicant) or, if applicable, the commitment of maintenance and accommodation filled and signed by a person from theRepublic of Moldova.
