Submitting an entry to this meet means you have read and will abide by all conditions in this meet pack.

Entries can be submitted via online entry via the entry form enclosed or using Team Manager and emailed to:events@welshasa.co.uk.

For Team Manager Entries:

Only one file per club is permitted.

Please email the following reports with the entry file for TM entries:

1. Hy-Tek meet entry sorted by name

2. Hy-Tek meet entry fee

3. Meet Summary Sheet (in this entry pack).

No entries will be processed until the correct payment is received and must arrive before the closing date.

Entry Fees

Individual events: 8.00 per event.

Relay events: 14.00 per team.Payment

Age Groups for both men and women are (Age as at 31st

December in year of competition)

NOTE

Masters Group A must be at least 25 years of age in the year of competition i.e. by 31st December 2012.

Group S swimmers must have achieved their 18th

birthday on or before the 1st day of the competition.

Team Events

Men & Women & Mixed (2 Men/2 Women):

4 x 50m, 4 x 100m, 4 x 200m Freestyle and 4 x 50m, 4 x 100m Medley in the following age-groups:-

(1) 72 - 96yrs (total age) Senior Age Group

(2) 100 - 119yrs (total age)

(3) 120 - 159yrs (total age)

(4) 160 - 199yrs (total age)

(5) 200 - 239yrs (total age)

(6) 240 - 279yrs (total age)

(7) 280 - 319yrs (total age)

(8) 320 - 359yrs (total age)

Heats

All events are Heat Declared Winner in each Age Classification.

All events will be seeded according to entry time

Relays

Clubs are limited to one team per event per Age Group (FINA Masters rule) providing all swimmers are different

A competitor may only represent one club in the Championships.

Total age of team as at 31st

December 2013

The Senior Age Group Relay team shall be defined as 18 years on the day of the swim to under 25 years on 31st December in the same year

with an aggregate age from 72 to 96 years

Masters relay teams shall by definition (MSW2) contain only Masters swimmers aged 25yrs or over on 31st December in the year of the

swim

In relay events, the team of a swimmer whose feet lose touch with the starting platform, or, if in the water losing contact with the starting

wall before the preceding team-mate touches the wall, shall be disqualified

Only one distance per event will be swum. In the event of multiple distance entries per event, the most popular event will be swum and

other entries encouraged to participate at this distance.

Medals

Medals shall be awarded to the first three placed individual competitors and teams in each age category.

Accommodation

Seating Arrangements

The seating at the WNP Swansea is arranged in rows that lead directly onto the pool deck. The first 6 rows are reserved for swimmers, coaches and

team managers. Spectators will not be allowed into this area. Swimmers should not to go above row 6 whilst wet and coaches, swimmers; team

managers & spectators are requested not to sit on the stairs.

Car Parking

A total of 250 car parking spaces including 21disabled places and 3 coach bays are provided at the Wales National Pool. This is a pay and display carpark and charges are currently 5 per day which are governed by WNP. Welsh coaches who have requested a car park pass as part of the annual

coaches pass scheme are requested to display their pass in the front windscreen of their vehicle at all times.

REFRESHMENTS:

Momentum Cafe situated in the reception area serve refreshments throughout the weekend and can provide all catering needs. Further

information can be found atwww.momentumfood.co.ukor by telephone: 01792 573630. There are also vending machines available in this

location. It is requested that refreshments are not taken onto poolside.

Smoking

Swim Wales has been asked by WNP Ltd to inform everyone using the facility that the complete complex, including the car park, is designated as a

non-smoking area. Chewing gum is also banned.

Camera Use

When a competition involves children under the age of 18 years of age it is a mandatory meet license requirement that all persons (including

competitors / officials / volunteers / spectators), wishing to engage in any kind of photographic activity including video, zoom, close range

photography, irrespective of the nature of the device / equipment used for taking / recording such images must register their details with the event

management in advance of taking any images.

This includes; but is not limited to: Still cameras, Cine Cameras, Video cameras, Camera / video enabled mobile phones, CamerW

Proof of identity is required to register any photographic / video equipment.

NB: Please note that no camera equipment including mobile phones are to be used in the changing village

MOBILEPHONES

Mobile phones must not be used in the facility for any reason other than photographic use and should be registered for this use at the point of entry.

SWIMSHOP

Speedo event specific merchandise and Swim Wales branded merchandise will be available to purchase from the Swim Shop located in the reception

area.

MEET OFFICE

Swim Wales National Meet Withdrawal Procedure

The following procedure must be adhered to by all competitors withdrawing from National Meet.

Please use the official meet withdrawal form included in this pack.

All withdrawals must be notified by the following deadlines:

1. Prior to the event via emailevents@welshasa.co.ukor by telephone 01792 513636

Day before or during the meet: in person to the Meet Office, via emailevents@welshasa.co.ukor telephone 01792 513636/01792 5136142. Heats: No later than 5pm on the day before the event is being swum

3. Semi-final/final: immediately after the semi finalists/finalists has been published or announced but within 15 minutes of the end of the

session

Withdrawals made due to injury/illness will need to be accompanied with a doctors/ hospital letter.

Failure to comply with the above shall result in a 10 fine for each inappropriate withdrawal which will be issued to the swimmers affiliated

club.

Any competitor withdrawing from a semi-final or a final preventing a reserve from taking part (except in the case of a genuine illness or of a

proven emergency) shall be fined as an inappropriate withdrawal and may result in immediate suspension from all events in the Meet.

Inappropriate withdrawal includes:

1. Failure to complete a withdrawal form correctly2. Failure to deliver the withdrawal form to the deadlines shown above late withdrawal

Failure to provide an appropriate medical letter. -

6. Swim Wales reserves the right to restrict entries if it is found to be necessary, due to number of entries. In

which case entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.

7. Swim Wales reserves the right to limit the number of competitors in the 400m & 800m Freestyle events if

necessary. The 800m & 1500m will be limited to 8 heats of each and entries will be accepted on a first come

first served basis.

8. Swim Wales reserves the right to amend the start times once all entries have been received.

9. I hereby agree to abide by and be governed by the rules of Swim Wales and all other laws and regulations

applicable including the Safety Laws.
