ATTENDANCE REPORT: August 17, 2014

The beginning of a new school year always brings a sense of excitement and renewal. I am especially thankful to have new and returning college students with us. We appreciate your energy and involvement. To all of our students, teachers, administration and staff, we hope and pray that you have a wonderful year, and that you are able to impact others for Christ.

Speaking of impacting others, the Edmond Church of Christ is working hard to make ourselves available so God can use us to share the love and message of Christ throughout the world. The efforts of our 11 full-time missionaries and the 340 we sent on mission trips this year are truly making a difference in people’s lives. I am always so encouraged to hear the many stories of transformation when our members return from the mission field.

Today—Commission Sunday—gives us all an opportunity to pray about and financially support the many good works God is doing through missions at Edmond. We provide support for all of our missionaries, several special mission projects (e.g., orphanages, care packages, scholarships for Zambian students, etc.) and cover 75% of every person’s mission trip cost this year through Commission Sunday. Your prayers and sacrifice are greatly appreciated.
