ChlorinationChlorine is a fantastic tool for disinfecting wells with

coliforms and other assorted nasty's.

For removing organic iron clogging it is useless.

Iron Oxide is already oxidized

Why, because chlorine is an oxidizing agent

The iron oxide is already oxidized, so what's the point

of pouring chlorine down the hole to remove the iron

oxide?

Yes it will kill some bugs but its well recognized that

iron bacteria are highly resistant to chlorinating

solutions.
