We, as a Church, represent a great diversity of people who come as individuals but with a common purpose. Saints Peter and Paul, whose feast we celebrate today, couldn’t have been more differ-ent, but they were both called by Christ. Each had their own mis-sion, but their callings were so similar. We could say that they complimented each other in their different approaches to the one mission. There isn’t one of us who has it all. In our own following of Jesus, we share what we have and allow others to do the same, even if it means that we must let go of our own preferences. Dis-cipleship is an invitation to respond to what Jesus wants of us, not what we think is needed.

Alleluia ~ Places of Worship are welcoming us all back!

DEATHS: RIP Ann Duddy: it is with great sadness that we learnt of Ann Duddy’s death on Sunday 21st June. Her loss will be felt deeply by the parish. Our thoughts and prayers are for Joe at this saddening time. May she rest in peace. Her Funeral Mass will take place at Clevedon Church at 10am on Friday 10th June. There will be restrictions on the numbers of people that can be let into the church (currently 45 people). Second Collections: This weekend: 28th June: Peter’s Pence—this charity supports the Pope’s charitable giving. Through this fund, he can help those who call to him for help; those in most need. To donate and learn more of this fund, please click here.

Update on the Blessed Virgin Mary statue project: to replace the statue on the sea-facing wall; born out of the desire by some parishioners to replace the missing statue; honouring our Blessed Lady; comforting those who see the statue (seafarers, Clevedon locals & visitors, including people on the pier). With the oversight of Fr. Reg &the PPC, a small team is currently preparing the project for the Parish (Maureen Geis, Patrick Dillon + Deacon Mario). It is a project from the Parish, for the Parish (the funding will not come out of the Parish budget, but from specific private donations). Each parishioner will be able to vote for one or several of the proposed statues, or provide their opinion, whether they wish to contribute financially to the project or not. For further detail on this project please click here.
