reading lessons focused on CAFÉ reading strategies while other students work through Daily 5 literacy station activities.

Assessment and Grading
• Formal assessment is based on the first-grade report card skills.
3 = Meets Expectation2= Making Progress
1 = Insufficient Progress• Informal assessments recorded
through daily teacher reflection journal and teaching content log.
Behavior• A classroom behavior rubric will be
written collaboratively by the class.
• Student use of self-assessment rubric to evaluate their behavioras needed.
• Red tickets can be earned and turned in Friday to purchase special rewards and privileges.
Volunteers• You are welcome!!!!
• There will be on-going opportunities to volunteer.
• However, please let me know if there areadditional and specific ways you would like to help.
Birthdays
• Let me know if you are sending a treat. We will celebrate during our snack
