CHALLENGE FOR 2019 Our pastor has challenged us to read the Bible daily and memorize scripture verses each week during 2019. Today, you will find an insert in the bulletin, showing memory verses for the year and suggestions for how to memorize scripture. Please save the suggestions until you get in the routine of following directions in order to learn the scripture. Every Sunday after today, we will simply print the scripture verse for that week in the bulletin. We are beginning two weeks late (one week caused by inability to have worship due to icy weather and power outage last Sunday). We will begin with the scripture for January 20 and go on from there. In the future, if you want to refer to all scripture verses for the year, you can google www.FighterVerses.com . The suggestions for memorization come from “An Approach to the Extended Memorization of Scripture” by Dr. Andrew Davis, www.fbcdurham.org . PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD EACH DAY! Read each week’s memory passage with surrounding verses, and work to memorize that passage. If you are in a Sunday School class, you will be able to return after you complete these four Sundays in the Connect Class. To register, please contact Dr. Doris Henderson at 336-292-3567, Extension 312, or [email protected].
