CHILDREN’S CHOIR ANNUAL MUSICAL
“A TECHNICOLOR PROMISE”
Welcome to Winter Park Presbyterian Church
Welcome! We are glad you are worshipping with us today. If you are new to our church or
community, we would very much like to offer you our friendship.
We strive to be a caring group of people seeking to grow in our commitment to Christ and
the service of others. Our church offers a variety of education, fellowship, worship, and
mission opportunities with something for most everyone. You will find information on
current events at the end of this bulletin.
If you would like to learn more about the church, or if we can assist you in some way, please
speak to an elder in the front of the sanctuary following the service, or to one of the pastors.
May God bless you!
If You Are New Here
We invite you to write your name(s) in the red registration pad when it is passed down the pew. If you
would like information on the ministries of this church, please include your contact information. Also,
greeters and ushers at the entrances can provide you with information about our programs and volunteer
opportunities. Please join us for refreshments and conversation in fellowship hall following the service.
Worship Aids
Assistive hearing devices are available from an audio/visual technician at the rear of the sanctuary. Large
print hymnals and bulletins are available from the ushers.
Worshiping with Children
Children are welcome to stay in the sanctuary for the entire worship service. They are invited to come
forward for the Children’s Moment, following which they may return to sit with their families, or (Pre-K—3rd
grade) leave for Children’s Church on non-communion Sundays. In addition, childcare for preschool-age
children is available in our nursery, room 608, during all services.
If You Are in Need of Prayer
Elders are available to pray with you after the service, at the front of the sanctuary. Your prayers are
confidential unless you request they be shared with our Pastoral Care staff. You may also complete a prayer
request card (available in the pews and at the back of the sanctuary) and give it to an usher.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Parents’ Night Out—Friday, May 3 Parents’ Night Out is an opportunity for the children of the church, as well as those in the community, to get together for games, movies, pizza, and more, so that parents can enjoy a date night or fellowship with other parents. Our next night out is May 3rd from 5:30-8:30 PM. Children aged 3 (and potty trained) through 5th grade are invited to join! The cost is just $5 per child and reservations are required as spots are limited. Please contact the front office (407-647-1467) to reserve your child's spot today. Any adults who are willing to help chaperone this event (all activities will be led by Pastor Emily), and Youth willing to lend a hand for service hours, please contact Pastor Emily - [email protected]. Parents’ Night Out is scheduled for the first Friday of every month. This will be our last PNO before we take a break and resume again in September.
Relationships in Action - Sunday Mornings at 9:15 AM in Room 301 May 5th—The Holy Land Revealed: Samaria and the Northern Kingdom of Isreal After the ten northern tribes broke away from Judah and formed their own kingdom, eventually Samaria became its capital, only 35 miles from Jerusalem. Tremendous tension and rivalry developed between them. Join us as Professor Jodi Magness describes this period from the Hebrew Bible in Lesson 6 from the series. Mike Galyean will lead this discussion.
Sunday School Children: Nursery for ages 1 month-3 years (608), Ages 3 years-Grade 2 (101), Grades 3-5 (201)
At Winter Park Presbyterian Church we are blessed to host Sunday School classes for young and elementary aged children. Both classes use a curriculum which invites children to explore the stories of the Bible through video, crafts, games, and mission. In Sunday School they will begin to form the building blocks for a lifelong, deep faith in Christ.
Adults & Youth: Relations in Action (301), Seekers (315)
Relationships in Action (R in A) - Relationships in Action is adult Sunday School class that studies issues “with the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other.” Each week features a different theme and a different speaker to present each topic. They are interested in social issues that affect their lives and the lives of others and how we as followers of Christ can be a factor in positive change.
Seekers: The Seekers is a discussion based adult Sunday school class that studies a wide variety of topics ranging from Books of the Bible to Theology to Current Events. They are a support group that spends time on fellowship as well as discussion and they are able to disagree, yet move in a positive direction during their discussions.

Call to Confession
Prayer of When we lock the doors of our hearts or minds,
Confession you burst through with forgiveness and peace.
When we are paralyzed by fear, doubt, or anger,
you breathe the spirit on us and clothe us in your strength.
When we turn away from the depth of your redemption,
you call us back and gift us with joy.
Forgive us, risen Lord, for the sins we commit.
Forgive us, risen Lord, for the sins we fail to confess.
Forgive us, risen Lord, for the sins we fail to forgive,
and lead us into your abundant life. Amen.

Vacation Bible School Vacation Bible School is upon us and the planning team is hard at work organizing this wonderful summer event in the life of our church. Volunteers for VBS are desperately needed. If you can assist with this wonderful program as a storyteller, a recreation leader, a group leader, a science leader, or mission assistant, contact Emily Wasser. Please help us continue this wonderful tradition.
WPPC Directories We still have some directories available! You can pick up your directory in the front office. A $5 donation to cover the printing cost would be appreciated.
Moment of Kindness We want to highlight the many ways you make our church a home by acknowledging moments of kindness—a way to inspire, grow, and connect. If you would like to share a moment of kindness, please email Cindy Mitchum - [email protected].
