The Swedish Club
With you at all times
The Swedish Club wrote its first Hull and Machinery policy in 1872 and has offered P&I insurance since 1910. Since then the Club has grown internationally and has offices in Piraeus, Hong Kong, Oslo and London. Our head office is situated in Gothenburg, Sweden, and is the home to Team Gothenburg’s operations.
Understanding our members’ needs is key. Our leadership style builds on our Swedish heritage with an efficient organisation and a proficient decision-making culture. At the same time we believe in the importance of serving you locally to ensure we are there when you need us.
Our core values are to be proactive, reliable and committed in everything we do at all times.
Heritage and understanding
The Swedish Club delivers a full suite of marine insurance services. In addition to Marine and P&I insurance, we also offer custom-made solutions in order to protect our members in the best possible way.
Our members constantly return a vote of confidence in the efficiency of our claims management and the quality of the service levels and care that we provide.

The Swedish Club
Team Gothenburg is responsible for the Club’s activities in the Scandinavian and European markets as well as North and South America. Its location places Team Gothenburg at the very heart of The Swedish Club. The Club itself was established in Gothenburg and we have seen many changes both globally and within the shipping market since that time.
Team Gothenburg is dedicated to placing customer service at the very top of its list of priorities. A committed team, all with maritime backgrounds, we offer you the full range of underwriting and claims expertise as well as supplying our members with expert advice 24 hours a day.
The team in Gothenburg is also, in close co-operation with our members and business partners, focused on continually improving the global products and services offered by the Club.
