School Information• School Hours

– 7:45am-2:45pm (Students may enter the building beginning at 7:15am.)

• Breakfast is provided beginning at 7:15am. This is a free service to all students.

• Families will receive information in the mail approximately two weeks before the beginning of school about:– Your Child’s Teacher– Open House Date and Time – School Supply List– Bus information– Staggered Entry Date

Kindergarten Staggered Entry• Each child will be assigned to come ONE of the following

days:– Wednesday, August 25th– Thursday, August 26th– Friday, August 27th– Monday, August 30

● All Kindergarten students will come to school on Tuesday, August 31st.

● A letter will be sent in early August regarding your child’s staggered entry day.

Bus Transportation• Bus transportation is provided

for all registered students in the school radius.

• Bus stops are assigned by the transportation department.

• You will be notified of your child’s bus stop when you receive your back to school packet in August.

• Kindergarten students are closely monitored as they transition to and from the bus lot.

• Car rider tags can be requested at open house.

– 1st month can take up to 1 hour wait time for afternoon pick up.

– Plan for a 15-20 minute morning carpool wait.

Visiting the SchoolSchool Sign-In Procedures

• Anytime an adult visits the school, they must sign into Lobby Guard using a current Photo ID.

• School sign-in procedures ensure the safety of all students and staff.

Walking Students to Class (subject to change)

• A family member is allowed to walk a student to class the first day of school.• Kindergarten students can be walked in the first week.• Pre-K Students can be walked in for one week after starting date.• Staff is positioned throughout the school to monitor students.

Visiting the Classroom

• Anytime you wish to visit the classroom, you must schedule a meeting with the teacher in advance.

Medication at School

Chronic Illness

Health Needs• First aid in the form of soap, water,

bandage and ice can be provided. No antibacterial or disinfectant can be administered.

• More serious accidents will result in a call home.

• Minor bumps and scrapes will be communicated through the agenda/homework folder.

• If students are sick with 100.4 or higher fever, vomiting/diarrhea 2 or more times, the student will be sent home.

• Pink eye students must go home for a minimum of 24 hours or until symptoms are gone or have a doctor’s authorization to return.

• Lice must be treated before returning to school.

• Due to the Covid-19 pandemic issues, please keep your students home with any sign of illness.

• If your child has a snack time, snacks should be healthy (i.e. fruit, veggie sticks, healthy grain). No candy/cookies.
