1 Welcome to the Latin American Conference On behalf of the Latin American Caucus, a student led group at the Harvard Kennedy School, we are delighted to welcome you as panelist for First annual Latin American Conference titled “Rethinking Latin America” that will take place on Friday April 18 th , 2014, at the Harvard Kennedy School Campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The purpose of the Latin American Conference is to create a space for dialogue and awareness at Harvard’s Kennedy School community regarding the challenges, successes and opportunities of recent Latin America’s policies. We expect that the First annual Latin American Conference will not only inform, but also inspire students and Harvard community to reflect and engage on the opportunities and fundamental challenges that the region is facing as well as to contribute to reposition Latin America as an area of interest in the discussion circles of academic, political, and professional communities.
