Make use of guidelines periodically issued by
Central & State committee
Haj entails many difficulties physically & mentally.
Lot of patience( SABR ) required.
Memorize duas to be recited during Haj period.
Collect detailed information in respect of Haj-e-
Tamattu, Haj-e-Qiran & Haj-e-Ifrad.
Daily Walk intensively, walk through crowded
places, take care of yourself, your companion &
your belongings from crowd.
PREPARATION FOR HAJ
Perfect your Namaz. Learn Namaz-e-Janazah.
Please teach Lady pilgrims how to offer
congregational prayers. How to join congregational
prayers in between and how to complete the
prayers.
Learn to use Lifts, Escalators and Western Toilets.
Go to nearby shopping Malls / Complexes if
available in your town to learn to use them.

1. Oral Polio Vaccination (OPV)
At least 10 days before

Towards Embarkation point
Before departure get all the details of reporting & flight
dates, keep ready the Departure Intimation card issued
by Central Haj Committee in your bag safely.
Departure Intimation card,
Those pilgrims who do not receive the
Departure Intimation card, are required to
contact State Haj committee or get the
flight information from internet, take a
printout and keep it with other required
documents
Pilgrims are required to report to the Departure Point 2 days
before scheduled flight date.

After completion of booking formalities
passport, steel bracelet, ID Cards etc, will
be handed over to pilgrims by Haj
Committee Officers.
At Embarkation Point your are also given
Boarding Passes for onward Journey &
return Journey. Please check name & other
details printed on it. Please keep safely the
Return Boarding Pass for Your return
Journey.
Distribution of Passports.
Check the details of
documents received, in case
of any discrepancy contact
State Haj Committee office.
Get two photo copies of
passport and boarding passes
to be kept with other
documents securely.

In case your flight is to Jeddah, keep the Ihram & Slippers
ready in your handbag.
Wear normal clothes in case your flight is to Madina.
Do not keep any sharp items in your hand bag like
scissors, nail cutter, knife, sarota (Betel nut cracker).
Towards Airport
In case check-in is done at Haj
House, pilgrims are required to
obtain Baggage Tag and keep
them safely. Get Riyals from the
counter and check the amount
before leaving the counter. Put on
Ihram.
In case check-in is done at Airport
with facility of Ihram, pilgrims are
required to report 5 hours before
scheduled time.
At the Airport luggage will be
screened first hence do not
keep any restricted material in
your luggage. Also do not keep
any packed electronic items,
you may be charged with
Customs Duty.
Do not keep any valuable / important items required like
passport, Boarding Passes, HAT card, ID card, important
documents and necessary medicines in check-in Baggage.
After check-in your immigration will be done, get your
immigration form filled, sign the documents with same
signature as that appears in passport. Check for
immigration stamp on the passport at the counter itself, if it is
not there inform immigration officer then and there.
After immigration get the riyals from bank counter, check the
amount before leaving the counter and keep it safely. Please
do not keep Riyals all in one Bag or with one person.
After moving into security hold area,
use toilets/rest rooms, perform
ablution (wudhu), and put on Ihram.
Perform Namaz as per timing.
Proceed for Boarding the flight after
the announcement by the concerned
Airlines.
After entering the flight sit on
the seat provided for you. Keep
your hand bag in the area
provided for it. Tie your seat-belt
when announcement is made.
Make use of tray at the back of
your front seat for eating
meals/foods provided in the
flight. Do not hold the plate in
your hand. Do not keep it below
the seat.
Do not spill water on the flight
floor; it may cause accident as
there are many electrical and
electronic components
installed below the floor.
Make less use of toilets in the flight. Do
not perform ablution (wudhu) in toilet.
Before boarding the plane you get
yourself relieved from all your personal
requirements and perform ablution.
Pilgrims with Ihram should repeat Talbiyah.
Do not offer Namaz in Pathways You may offer in sitting
position.
After nearly 5 hours of flight journey you will reach
Jeddah Airport. Patiently wait till you are instructed to
leave the flight. Pick your hand bags. Board the buses
provided from Flight to Airport Building.
After entering airport building
pilgrims will be vaccinated
for polio in holding area.
Thereafter Immigration will
be done.
You may use toilets/rest
rooms. Perform ablution &
pray.
At Jeddah / Mandina Airport
After immigration collect your baggage from conveyor
belt. Proceed towards screening machine.
Baggage will be checked at the screening machine.
Then proceed towards Indian Haj Mission.
Bus stickers will be pasted on your passport.
Representatives of Indian
Haj Mission will guide
pilgrims toward waiting
area meant for Indians.
Keep your baggage
carefully.
Indian Haj Mission, Jeddah may provide SIM card which
contains all necessary numbers of Haj Mission. Get
acquainted with how to use with this SIM card
Moallim will arrange bus for you. Representatives of Haj Mission
will direct you towards the bus. Ensure that your baggages are
properly kept in the same bus in which you will travel ahead.
Moallim will provide Yellow bracelet & ID card immediately on
boarding the bus or upon reaching your destination.
In case of Misplaced or Lost Baggage
In case of lost baggage, lodge a complaint with Indian Haj Mission
at Airport and get its receipt from them. Keep it safely.
Journey from Jeddah To Makkah
Bus will leave for Makkah from
Jeddah Airport. The 80 Km
distance is normally covered
within 2½ hours. However due
to traffic congestion it may take
more time. Bus will first arrive at
Moallim's Office then to your
building.
Accommodation
Category-wise pilgrims will be taken to their building. The
distance is taken from the outer periphery of Haram Sharif.
No room reservation in
Madina.
The terrain of Makkah
is full of Ups and
downs.
Do not compare
Makkah & Madina
accommodations.
Your bus will arrive at your
building.
Representatives from Moallim
will bring down your baggage.
Collect your baggage and report
to building counter. You will get
keys of the room mentioned on
the passport sticker. Accompany
with fellow pilgrims to your
room.
Each pilgrim is entitled to only
four square meters of space for
himself and his baggage. Iron
cot with Mattress, pillow, Bed
Sheet & Blanket will be made
available.
Drinking water will be supplied on
every floor.
30 pilgrims will share a kitchen
containing filled gas cylinder for
the first time. Refilling of cylinder
has be done by the Pilgrims
themselves at their own expenses
with the assistance of building
supervisor
Every pilgrims has to learn how
to use air-conditioner / Gas
stove and other equipments
with the help of building
supervisor. It will avoid untoward
incident in the building.
12 pilgrims will share a toilet.
A bucket & mug will be
provided in every bathroom.
There will be lift facilities in
every building. Old persons
will be given first preference.
Get the following information from the
building counter before going to perform
Umrah.

Some special Responsibilities of the Moallim
To welcome pilgrims and provide facilities to carry baggage.
Guidance.
To keep passport of each pilgrim in his custudy.
To provide wrist band (Yellow Bracelet) to each pilgrim with relevant
information.
To provide photo ID card.
To guide during Haj period from Makkah to Mina, Mina to Arafat, etc with
travelling facilities.
In case if pilgrim is not satisfied with the Moallim, he can lodge a
complaint in the office of Indian Haj Mission / Indian Desk of South Asian
Mossassa.
Now a days they do not provide assistance in performing Umrah and Haj
(Rituals).
Umrah
If you have decided to perform Haj-e-Tamattu, you have to be in
Ihram from the Embarkation point and after reaching Makkah,
you have to perform Umrah first.
Keep your Yellow bracelet & ID Card along,
while going to Haram to perform Umrah.
Please avoid taking more than
40-50 Saudi Riyals with you to
avoid loss / theft in the crowd.
You may keep your money with
Moallim and take receipt for it, to
avoid loss/theft.
Before proceeding to Haram Sharif approach building counter for
guidance.
Keep in mind the land marks near your building and the way
leading to Haram.
There are 95 gates to enter into Haram Sharif. Remember the
gate number nearest to your way through which you enter. Use
toilets, restroom perform ablution (Wudhu), before going to
Haram Sharif.
Carefully observe the Haram building while entering You will see
Khane Kaaba in front of your eyes no matter from which gate you
enter.
Recite dua on first sight of Khana Kaaba.
Remember the number & colour of
the gate from which you enter the
Mataaf Area.
The Khaane Kaaba has four corners
1) Hajre Aswad , 2) Shami , 3) Iraqi
and 4) Yemini.
You will also see Al-Hatim & Maqam-e-
Ibrahim
There is a green light indicator towards
Hajre Aswad. Move towards that direction.
Take a counter or 7-bead Tasbih to count
circumabulation (Tawaf).
IN STATE OF IHRAM
Do Idtiba. Keep right arm and shoulder not
covered by Ihram.
Turn your chest towards Hajre Aswad after
reaching the green light indicator. Stop
reciting Talbiyah. Recite Tawaf niyyat of
Umrah.
kiss Hajre Aswad, if it is easily done or
perform Istilaam (indicate towards Hijre
Aswad with both the palms). Tawaf
(Circumambulation) around Kaaba.
Male pilgrims shalll observe RAMAL (moving a bit faster) in first three
rounds.
Take care of yourself, your companion & belongings during Tawaaf.
Complete 7 rounds of Tawaf-e-Kaaba
Tawaf can also be performed on 1st, 2nd Floor easily.
After completion of seven rounds of
Tawaf-e-Kaaba, go behind Maqaam-e-
Ibrahim, offer two rakaat (Wajib-e-Tawaaf)
salaah. In case of heavy crowd offer this
salaah anywhere in the Mataaf area. Seek
for sincere repentance.
While facing Khanae Kaaba Drink Zamzam which is available in the
mataaf area end. Recite Duas.
After Istilaam towards Hajre Aswad, proceed towards Safaa
hillock. There are indicators pointing towards Safaa.
Climb the hillock of Safaa. Make
intention (niyyah) for Saee and walk
from Safaa towards Marwah. Now you
completed one round. From Marwah
walk towards Safaa and you completed
two rounds. Like that you make seven
rounds and complete saee at Marwah.
Male pilgrims shall walk quickly
between the green lightened columns
called Meelayene Akhzarain. Female
pilgrims should walk normally.
Saee begins from Safaa hillock and ends at Marwah. During Saee
and Upon completion of seventh round recite choicest Duas.
After Saee, men should get their heads completely shaved or get hair
clipped to the length of the upper third of their finger or a little more.
Both shaving and clipping are permissible for men, though shaving is
preferable. Women are, however, allowed to cut One inch of their
hair. They are forbidden to shave their heads.
After cutting the hair, umrah is complete. The restrictions of Ihram are
finished. Now you can wear regular clothes and lead a normal life.
During Umrah observe cleanliness and follow rules.
During Tawaaf don't offer 2 rakaat Namaz in Hatim.
After Umrah If feasible you may offer salaah in Hatim.
Similarly if the Mataaf area is crowded and it is not
possible to kiss Hajre Aswad, don't kiss. Likewise don't
come near Multazim at the time of heavy rush.
Nafil Tawaaf can be performed till Haj Days.
Make ziyaraat of places such as Mina, Arafat, Muzdalfa,
Jamraat, etc. before actual Haj period to make yourself
familiar with these places.
Be thankful to Allah that He
provided the opportunity for
performing Umrah and lead rest of
your life according to the
Commands of your Creator.

8. Sprinkle water on face frequently.
9. Consult Doctors at Indian dispensaries in Makka, Madina, Mina
and Arafat.
10. Also visit Saudi Hospitals. The Treatment is free.
Towards Mina, Arafat & Muzdalifa
Haj days are of 5 days between 8th to 12th Dhul Hijja.
Pilgrims have to perform the rites of Haj in Mina, Arafat
and Muzdalifa.
For this period pilgrims are required to keep all his/her
necessary requirements in his/her hand bag.

Journey to Mina
Observe seriously the instructions
issued by Moallim for Bus arrangement.
Offer Nafil Namaz and make intention
for Haj. After putting on Ihram all the
restrictions of Ihram to be followed.
Pilgrims are required to keep ID Card
& Yellow Bracelet issued by Moallim
and ID Card, Steel Bracelet & Map of
Mina issued by Haj Committee of India.
Journey towards Mina starts from the
night of 8th Dhul Hijja. Buses will come
to your building. Please remember, it is
necessary to go to Mina with the
Moallim arranged bus only.
After reaching Mina, Moallim will make you stay in your tent. Keep
your luggage in your place. Specifically keep tent card with you
whenever you go out of the tent, else you will not be allowed to enter
the tent.
Each pilgrim will be entitled to 2 x 6 ft. space wherein a mattress of
same size with light blanket will be made available.
Facilities like drinking water,
toilet and bathroom will be
available in the tent. Have
patience to wait in long
queues.
After entering the Tent write the pole number of your Tent on the
HCOI ID card and Yellow Bracelet of all your co-pilgrims as
shown below.
Remember landmarks near your tent so that you can easily reach
your tent.
Remember Yellow color Grill is for India and South Asian Countries
8th Dhul Hijja is the first day of Haj. You
have to offer 5 times obligatory prayer in
the tent itself.
Indian Haj Mission office at Mina will be
equipped with medical facilities.

Journey to Arafat and Muzdalifa
After passing 8th Dhul Hijja Day & Night at Mina, next day i.e. on 9th
Dhul Hijja after offering Fajr prayer pilgrims have to go to Arafat. Bus will
be made available in front of your tent by Moallim. Arafat is nearly 16 km
away from Mina. Pilgrims have to reach Arafat ground between Fajr and
Zuhar. Some times to avoid congestion on 9th night itself Moallim takes
pilgrims to Arafat .
If any pilgrim, having stamina wishes to walk upto Arafat he can do so.
Keep only necessary items with you. If possible keep one
shawl, water bottle, Prayer mat and some food.Do not keep
big bags, leave other belongings in the tent. Keep ID Card,
Steel / Yellow Bracelet & Moallim's card with you.
Take care of old and needy fellow pilgrims.
Go to Arafat before Zuhar.
Movement to Arafat from Meena start in night
of 9th Dhu'l-Hijjah.

Don’t pray in the front portion of Nimra Masjid

Tent in Arafat will also have
drinking water, toilet and bathroom
facility from Moallim.
Haj Khutba will be delivered from
Masjid Nimra which is in Arafat.
Waqoof e Arafat starts from Zuhar.
Do recite choicest duas while
standing at Asr. Recite more and
more Durood and seek repentness
of your sins.
After spending the whole day till sun set, you have to go to
Muzdalifa without offering Maghrib prayer, Millions of pilgrims will
go to Muzdalifa hence observe patience. When crowd subsides go
to Muzdalifa by Bus, vehicle or by walking
Batan-e- Arna is not a part of Arafat.
You will be out of limit of Arafat. Do
not stay there.
Muzdalifa
Muzdalifa is an open ground wherein
you have to offer prayer during night.
After finishing your personal needs
offer Maghrib & Isha prayer together
and offer nafil prayers.
Pilgrims will have to collect 70
pebbles (small stones) of chana size
from Muzdalifa. Keep them in a
clothed pouch with you.

On 10th Dhul Hijja offer Fajr prayer in Muzdalifa and go to Mina.
Do not stay in Wadi-e-Mehsar, as Allah punished the early
generation here. Ask for its information from Moallim.
10th Dhul Hijja: Journey & Stay
From Muzdalifa go to your tent at Mina, keep your belongings and
take rest for some time. 10th Dhul Hijja is the third day of Haj and it
will be very busy day,
First you have to stone big satan (Jamrae Uqaba) with 7 pebbles. It is
situated at the bridge of Jamarat. Hence you should keep a map of
Jamarat bridge along with your necessary identification cards, Steel
Bracelet and 7 pebbles which you have collected from Muzdalifa. Do
not keep any valuable items, bags or umbrella.
From your tent walk towards the
Jamarat bridge as per the map.
When you come near the bridge
decide yourself from which floor you
will stone the big satan. Glow sign
board will help you. When you reach
Jamarae Uqba (big Satan) take the
pebbles in right hand and stone
seven pebbles one by one. Do
remember the Duas to be recited
during this stoning. During Rami only
seven pebbles are to be thrown and
nothing else.

Qurbani
After Rami go to your tent, today's second and important task is
offering Qurbani. If you have deposited money for Qurbani in Bank a
receipt was issued which has expected time of Qurbani
printed/written on it.
If you want to do Qurbani yourself, go to King Abdul Aziz Kubri
Qurbangah, buy hadi (sacrificial goat/camel) and do qurbani.
After Qurbani do Halaq. After Halaq the restrictions of Ihram are over

Tawaaf-e-Ziyarat
Fourth important task today is to
perform Tawaaf-e-Ziyarat in
Makkah Sharif. After performing
Tawaaf and Saee you have to
return back to your tent at Mina.
In case Tawaaf-e-Ziyarat is not
done on 10th Dhul Hijja, it can
be done on 11th or before
Sunset on 12th Dhul Hijja. It is
obligatory on each pilgrim.
After performing Tawaaf-e-Ziyarat, go
back to your tent at Mina. On 11th Dhul
Hijja perform all five daily obligatory
prayers in Mina. Also stone 7-7-7
pebbles one by one to all three satan
after zawal(noon).
On 12th Dhul Hijja perform Fajr, Zuhar
and Asr prayer in Mina. After zawal
stone all three satan with 7-7-7 pebbles
one by one. Leave Mina before Maghrib
for Makkah, otherwise you will have to
continue your stay on 13th Dhul Hijja in
Mina.
In case you could not leave Mina before
Maghrib on 12th Dhul Hijja, you have to
continue stay at your tent on 13th Dhul
Hijja.After performing Fajr prayer stone
all three Satan 7-7-7 pebbles one by one
and compulsorily leave for Makkah.
From Indian Haj Mission & Saudi Govt. complete medical facilities
are available at Mina, Muzdalifa and Arafat.
For Haj 2012 efforts are on to provide Metro Train facilities from
Mina to Arafat, Arafat to Muzdalifa, Muzdalifa to Mina and Mina to
Jamaraat. Saudi Govt. is yet to decide on the issue.
Tawaf-e-Wida
Tawaf-e-Wida is performed before leaving Makka.
Since this is last Tawaf during this journey make full
use of the opportunity. Perform Tawaf-e-Wida before
the arrival of moallim’s buses at your building.
Journey to Madina Munawarrah
Pilgrims arrived from Jeddah will depart from Madina and vice versa.
Pilgrims who have arrived at Madina from India will go to Makkah before
8th Dhul Hijja and they have to put on Ihram at Masjid Zul Hulaifa and
make Umrah intention and perform Umrah at Makkah. For Haj again put
on Ihram and proceed to MIna.
After finishing Haj rites pilgrims will stay at Makkah. They may perform
Nafil Umrah & Tawaaf.
Pilgrims arrived at Jeddah from India shall depart for Madina after
completion of Haj rites.
A notice will be put up at building informing pilgrims about their schedule
to visit Madina.
After getting the information, pilgrims have to tie and keep all the
baggages ready for Madina, as they won't come back to Makkah. Due to
cold at Madina, pilgrims have to wear warm clothes while traveling.
Before visiting Madina Sharif, pilgrims have to perform Tawaaf-e-Wida
and come back to room. Moallim will arrange bus to Madina. These
buses will come to your building to pick you. Take your luggage from
your room to bus. Porters from Moallim will lift these luggages to bus.
The distance between Makkah and Madina is nearly 450 km. The bus
will first go to Moallim's office from where bus driver will collect your
passports and keep them safely.
It will take nearly 10 hours to Madina. You will be taken to
your buildings directly. Collect your luggages from bus
when the bus reaches your building. Allotment of rooms
will be done at the building counter. You will be allotted a
room and given keys of it.
After making groups collect your room's key. Few of the
buildings at Madina do not have Kitchen facilities.
It is desirable to pray 40
obligatory prayers at Masjid--e-
Nabwi (Madina Sharif).
At the time of prayer go to
Masjid-e-Nabwi from your
building. Remember the
landmarks near and on your way
to Masjid.
From your building reception
you will get card with name of
building, address, telephone
number and map showing way
to Masjid. Keep this card and
distribute among your fellow
pilgrims.
There are separate entrances
for male & female pilgrims,
hence you plan where to meet
after every visit to Masjid-e-
Nabwi
.
The nearest dispensary at Masjid-e-Nabawi is near the adjacent
boundry wall of Jannat al Baqi.

e- Muqaddasa through the
entrance inside of the Masjid-e

Sharif and offer salaam with all

Raoza-e-Muqadassa and get
the honour of seeing the
Raoza-e-aqdas.
You will see red carpets in the
Masjid-e-Nabwi . There are
green carpets between Raoza-e-
Muqadassa and Member-e-
Rasool. This area is known as
Riyazul Jannah. Offering 2 rakah
nafil prayer is Afzal (desirable).
Go out from the Masjid through
Baab-e-Baqi you will see Jannat
Al Baqi from some distance. This
graveyard is opened during
prescribed timings.
Riyazul Jannah
There are many house like structures in the courtyard area and they
are numbered. Wherein there are stairs and escalator going
underground for parking, ablution, bathing & toilet.
Remember the number mentioned over these ablution blocks
(structure in court yard) so as to remember your way back to the
building.
Behind the Raoza there is an
elevated platform known for
Ashaab-e-Sufa.
The door next to this platform
is Baab-e-Jibrail, get the
honour of seeing it.
Observe patience in crowd, as
this is the respectable and
honourable place.
Perform prayers on time in
Masjid-e-Nabwi and do
ziyarat.
Return Journey
When your schedule to return back
is near Moallim will put a notice
informing about it. By this time you
have to be ready with your
baggage.
Do not carry the baggage over the prescribed limit.
24 hours before departure, remote check-in
is made wherein pilgrims baggages are
collected by airline officers from your
building. Baggages Tags will be issued.
Keep these tags safely; do not mix with
airline ticket.
At the time of departure keep necessary
items like medicines, return Boarding Pass
and two pair of clothes in your hand bag
.
DO NOT CARRY ZAMZAM IN HANDBAG.
As per the information given by Moallim
come out of the building in time. Buses
will be ready to take you to Airport. Your
passport will be distributed and you will
be taken to Airport.
After completing all the necessary
formalities you will board the Flight.
Within 5 hours you will reach India. At the
Airport your immigration will be done.
Then collect your check-in luggage and
pass through customs check.
After finishing all the formalities
representatives of Airline will distribute 10
litres of Zam Zam Jeri can.
Change the remaining Riyals, if any left with
you at the Airport counter. Now you can
proceed to your residence.
Congratulations on performing the obligation of Haj May Allah accept your effort toward
Haj and may grant the reward for Haj e Mabroor (Ameen)
Lost Baggage claim Procedure
Last date for claim is 15th December, 2012.
After this date no claim will be entertained
Before departure to India/Saudi Arabia pilgrims are required to handover
check-in luggage and get baggage tags for it. These tags are receipt for
your baggage from Airline Company you should carefully keep it. After
arriving at India/Saudi Arabia if you find that your baggage is missing, follow
the following points:
Contact the Airline counter immediately.
Show your missing baggage tag to lodge your complaint.
PIR which is complaint form of Airline, fill it properly take one
acknowledged copy for you.
If on arrival of last flight the missing baggage is not found, lodge another
complaint with Airline Company. The baggage will either be returned
back to you or its compensation will be paid by Airline company.
Insurance Claim Procedure Luggage/Currency
Pilgrim should contact Indian Haj Mission office in case they lost
their money ( only Riyals no other currency ) or baggage. Asst. Haj
Officer of this office will prepare an enquiry report. This report should
be submitted to General Welfare Wing of Indian Haj Mission, Main
office. After finishing all formalities one of the copies will be handed
over to you and another will be sent to insurance company. In case
of loss of money there is a provision of giving interim relief.
Dos and Don'ts During Haj

documents are lost these will help you.

numbers of Branch Offices at Makkah, Indian Haj Mission,
Concerned Branch Office and Embassy.
10. Do not accept any items handed over by your friend or relative to be
delivered at Saudi Arabia to someone. In case it is necessary, see the
contents and take only permissible items.
11. Pilgrims are advised not to carry WATER CAN and bucket
while going to perform Haj.
12. Western toilets are installed in buildings, hence you should
learn to use it.
13. Do remember to keep the Moallims number always with you.
14. After reaching Makkah Concerned Branch Office address will
be pasted on your building. Write the address with you and
remember the concerned branch office.
15. Always wear the ID card, Steel Bracelet issued by HCOI,
Yellow Bracelet given by Moallim.
16. Keep your valuables and money with your Moallim and take proper
receipt. Do not keep extra money or valuables with you.
17. Traffic rule of Saudi Arabia is opposite to India's, hence while
crossing road first look at left.
18. Beware of pick-pocketers.
19. Young and Healthy persons should use staircase & old and sick
persons should be given preference in lift, while going to offer
prayers to Haram Sharif.
20. Pilgrims should remember their building number, main Landmark
nearby, the nearest gate of Haram Sharif and the way back.
21. If they miss their building, they can
reach by the above information,
In case they cannot, they may
contact the Indian volunteer/ nearest
Branch Office or Indian Haj Mission.
22. In case Lost, inform the Indian Haj Mission office.
23. For the security reasons Saudi Govt. has installed CCTV cameras at
places. You should not pick any unclaimed items. It may be taken as
theft and you may be prosecuted.
24. In case if anyone is caught by the police, do not sign any document
without proper knowledge.
25. Visit Govt. hospital only, if you fall sick. Details of the hospitals are
given in this Haj Guide.
26. Do not waste water.Close Taps, Lights, fans, Gas stove, A/C before
leaving your room.
27. Use of your room is meant for yourself and allotted persons only. Do
not allow any other person to stay along with you.
28. Do not litter, keep places clean.
29. Travel through licensed taxi only. Do not travel by any other taxi.
30. Always travel in group in taxies. Males to board first followed by
females. Females to get down first followed by males. Try to engage
taxies with Indian / Pakistani / Bengali drivers for easy
communication and reliability.
31. Do Not fall prey to cheating offers ( lottery /prize ) on your mobile
phones. If you receive any such call / SMS, inform Indian Haj
Mission. Many Pilgrims were fooled by such offers last year.
32. Try to do qurbani of Hadi by yourself or buy coupon from Islamic
Bank.
33. The distance between Makkah and Madina is nearly 450 km and it
takes nearly 10 hours. Hence you get yourself prepared with water
and food.
34. Remember your place in Tent at Mina as well as pole number.
35. For your benefit it is suggested that at the time of stoning do not
take old and sick persons, stone on behalf of them. Also don't take
wheel chairs as well.
36. Stay in your tent only in Mina. Do not let any unknown or un-allotted
persons stay in your tent.
37. Pilgrims should not observe halaq in unhygienic or non-permissible
places.
38. Do not put ZamZam in Check in baggage / Hand Baggage.

The gate of Haram Sharif which is situated between
exterior walls of Safaa & Marwah. It is desirable to
enter through this gate.
Taneem ( Masjid-e-Ayesha):
Meeqaat for temporary stay in Makkah. Umrah & Haj
niyat cab be done at this place.
Meeqaat:
The place from where it is obligatory to wear Ihram
and say niyat for Umrah & Haj.
Zul Hulifa ( Beir-e-Ali Masjid ):
Meeqaat for Madina pilgrims which is 10 km away from
Prophets Mosque (Masjid Nabwi).
Jate Iraq:
Meeqaat for Iraqi pilgrims.
Yalamlam:
Meeqaat for Indian & Pakistani pilgrims.
Johfa:
Meeqaat for Shia pilgrims.
Qarnul Manazil:
Meeqaat for Najadi pilgrims.
Safaa:
A small mountain adjacent to east side of Baitullah from where Saee
starts.
Marwaah:
A small mountain some distance away from Safaa where Saee ends.
Masaa:
The place in between Safaa & Marwaah.
Meelayen-e-Akhzareen:
The green lighted area in between Safaa & Marwaah where male
pilgrims walk briskly.
Mina:
8 Km away from Makkah where pilgrim has to stay during Haj period.
Jamraat:
Place at the end of Mina. Three stone pillars situated at a distance to
each other which are stoned during Haj period.
Arafat:
16 Km away from Makkah where Masjid Nimra is situated and pilgrims
gather here on 9th Dhul Hijja.
Jabal e Rehmat:
A mountain situated in Arafat ground where prophet (pbuh) delivered his
last sermon to pilgrims.
Muzdalfah:
In between Mina and Arafat where pilgrims stay at night after leaving
Arafat. Pilgrims pick pebbles (small stones) here for stoning Jamarat.
Wadi e Mehsar:
Adjacent to Muzdalifa ground where pilgrims are not allowed to stay and
required to move fast.
Batan e Arna:
A jungle adjacent to Masjid Nimra of Arafat, where staying in not
permissible. It is not a part of Arafat & Muzdalifa
