Welcome to the ASA MeetingFebruary Edition
Chinese Whispers
• Basically like Whisper Down the Lane.• One person whispers a message to another, which is passed down through
a line of people until the last player announces the message to the group.
To raise money for the club, we are going to be doing several different fundraising events:
• T-shirt Selling• Frozen Yogurt?• Car Wash (April)
You must participate in at least one of these.

T-Shirt Selling
• The pricing of T-Shirts is $10 each.• You must sell at least 2 or 3 T-Shirts for fundraising.• People can begin ordering /selling in February.
o Last day to sell T-shirts will be March 5th.
• What do you want to do?o Yes, let’s do this!
What kind of mix do we want? All of them? Who wants to bring some in?
• Bringing them in gets → 2 points.
• Bring one in for yourself that day :) We need: Water boiler, tea bags/coffee mix/hot-cocoa mix, cups,
o No, let’s not do this.• We’ll all sit down and chat about what we can do in the spring.
o Anything that is going on now a days.

ASA Dance • Go to Sahn Yoon or Christine Lee for tickets and forms.
• We have already donated $95 to the Leukemia Walk.o However, that was based on only 5 people paying with their own
money.• Seems like the Philippines are not in good condition still.
o Charity to the Philippines? If so, then where can we donate to? A church? A website?
• Do we still want to keep up with Children’s Hospital as our charity?

• Do we even want to donate considering we have donated $95?o Yes, we should donate.

What’s Coming Up?
• Where do you want to go? This determines:o Overall cost of trip.
Time and money spent traveling. Time and money spent on site.
o How much we have left for next year. Donations and charity work? Next year’s trips and activities.
• Options that have been considered:o Chinatown:
Pros: Not expensive and close by. Will mostly focus on visiting shops and eating dinner.
Cons: Less excitement than other choices.
End of School Year Trip

o Six Flags Great Adventure Pros: Lots of excitement. Several nearby Six Flags parks. Cons: Cost to get there can be expensive. Chaperones may be
required. Cost per ticket will likely be ~$30
