• The PCC, founded in 2001, facilitates UW interdisciplinary climate science research, graduate education and outreach.

• Joint effort of Atm. Sci., Earth & Space Sci., Oceanography, APL, JISAO-Climate Impacts Group, QRC and Civil Engr.

• PCC offers graduate climate courses, seminar series, public lectures and an annual summer institute, with a different climate theme each year (2008: Ocean Circ. & Climate).

• PCC offers a graduate certificate program in climate science (GCeCS) open to qualified grad students from all departments.

• PCC sponsors new climate science faculty hires and postdocs.
