REGISTRATION When : Within 8-14 days of your arrival

What to bring: Valid passport or ID card + photocopy/ 2 passport pictures Visa autorisation (for non-EU nationals), birth certificate and money (CHF 60-90) 1st permit application refunded: give the receipt to your group secretary

A few administrative steps Liability insurance = RC
Covers any damage caused by you to a third party. This insurance covers both property and personal damage but does not include driving related accidents. The liability insurance is not mandatory in Switzerland. However, highly recommended. You may need a proof of insurance in order to rent an appartment. Household insurance A household insurance covers everything that you have in your home (content) in the event of fire, water damages, glass breakage or theft. Household insurance is not mandatory but highly recommended.
Fire insurance The ECA insurance is an obligatory insurance in the Vaud Canton that covers damage from fire and natural disasters. More info under : http://www.eca-vaud.ch/
