Self Control:

defined by Webster as restraint exercised over

one's own impulses, emotions, or desires

Lack of self control is manifested in many

ways:

A man without self-control is like a city

broken into and left without walls.

Submission:

defined by Webster as “yielding to another,” or to

“give in to another.”

Worldly submission shouldn’t be confused

with godly submission

SELF-CONTROL & SUBMISSION

Submission:

• Is a humble and intelligent obedience to authority

• It is not being a door mat, or being the weakling of

the year

• It is an inward control that expresses itself

outwardly

• Spiritually speaking, is subordination to God’s

authority principle

head of every man is Christ, the head

of a wife is her husband, and the head

of Christ is God.
