THE PRAYER OF PREPARATIONAll Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires

known, and from whom no secrets are hidden: cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

PRAYERS OF PENITENCE Celebrant Our Lord Jesus Christ said: The first commandment is

this: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the only Lord. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength’. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself’. There is no other commandment greater than these. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

All Amen. Lord have mercy.

Celebrant The grace of God has dawned upon the world through our Saviour Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for us to purify a people as his own. Let us confess our sins.

All Lord God, we have sinned against you; we have done evil in your sight. We are sorry and repent. Have mercy on us according to your love. Wash away our wrongdoing and cleanse us from our sin. Renew a right spirit within us and restore to us the joy of your salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

‘Accept one another for the glory of God, as Christ has accepted you.’ (Romans 15:7)

We sit or stand for:The Eucharistic Prayer

The Lord is hereAll His Spirit is with us.

Lift up your hearts. All We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.All It is right to give thanks and praise.

Celebrant All honour and praise be yours always and everywhere, mighty creator, ever-living God, through Jesus Christ your only son our Lord: for at this time we celebrate your glory made present in our midst. In the coming of the Magi the King of all the world was revealed to the nations. In the waters of baptism Jesus was revealed as the Christ, the Saviour sent to redeem us. In the water made wine the new creation was revealed at the wedding feast. Poverty was turned to riches, sorrow into joy. Therefore with all the angels of heaven we lift our voices to proclaim the glory of your name and sing our joyful hymn of praise:

(Gathering Mass © Paul Inwood/OCP) Holy, holy, holy Lord. God of pow'r and God of might. Heaven and earth, heaven and earth, are full of your glory, your power and might.Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest heav'ns!Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest heav'ns!

‘Accept one another for the glory of God, as Christ has accepted you.’ (Romans 15:7)

Blessed, blessed is he who comes. Blessed, blessed is he who comes.Blessed is he, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest heav'ns!Hosanna! Hosanna! Hosanna in the highest heav'ns!

We praise and bless you, loving Father, through Jesus Christ, our Lord; and as we obey his command, send your Holy Spirit, that broken bread and wine outpoured may be for us the body and blood of your dear Son.

On the night before he died he had supper with his friends and, taking bread, he praised you. He broke the bread, gave it to them and said: Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.

When supper was ended he took the cup of wine. Again he praised you, gave it to them and said: Drink this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

So, Father, we remember all that Jesus did, in him we plead with confidence his sacrifice made once for all upon the cross. Bringing before you the bread of life and cup of salvation, we proclaim his death and resurrection until he comes in glory.

Jesus Christ is Lord:All Lord, by your cross and resurrection

‘Accept one another for the glory of God, as Christ has accepted you.’ (Romans 15:7)

You have set us free. You are the Saviour of the world.

Lord of all life, help us to work together for that daywhen your kingdom comes and justice and mercy will be seen in all the earth. Look with favour on your people, gather us in your loving arms and bring us with St Margaret and all the saints to feast at your table in heaven. Through Christ, and with Christ, and in Christ,in the unity of the Holy Spirit, all honour and glory are yours, O loving Father, for ever and ever. Amen.

The Lord’s PrayerAll Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as in heaven.Give us today our daily bread.Forgive us our sins,as we forgive those who sin against us.Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yoursnow and forever. Amen.

We break this bread to share in the body of Christ. All Though we are many, we are one body,

because we all share in one bread.

The Giving of CommunionJesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Blessed are those who are called to his supper.

All Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.

Draw near with faith. Receive the body of our Lord Jesus Christ which he gave for you, and his blood which he shed for you. Eat and drink in remembrance that he died for you, and feed on him in your hearts by faith with thanksgiving.

We sing the Agnus Dei.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, grant us peace.

Communion Hymns

O love, how deep, how broad, how high,it fills the heart with ecstasy, that God, the Son of God, should takeour mortal form for mortals' sake!

He sent no angel to our raceof higher or of lower place, but wore the robe of human framehimself, and to this lost world came.

For us he was baptised and borehis holy fast and hungered sore, for us temptations sharp he knew;for us the tempter overthrew.

For us to wicked powers betrayed, scourged, mocked, in purple robe arrayed,he bore the shameful cross and death, for us at length gave up his breath. For us he rose from death again;for us he went on high to reign;for us he sent his Spirit here,to guide, to strengthen and to cheer.‘Accept one another for the glory of God, as Christ has accepted you.’
