Mass for Deceased Children
Thursday / November 21 / 6:00 PM
Please join us to remember the lives of children who have gone before us in death. If you have lost a child
through miscarriage, stillbirth, prematurity, illness, accident or any other way, we welcome you to gather with us to remember these special children with a
Memorial Mass. This Mass is intended for anyone who has lost a child recently or in the past. We also invite family and friends who support those who have
lost a child.
Welcome to St. John the Evangelist! Whether you’re just visiting for a brief time, looking for a new parish home, returning to the practice of your Catholic faith or interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church, we are happy you’re here! Bishop Emeritus Roger Paul Morin, third bishop of Biloxi, died on October 31. He was 78 years old. Bishop Morin served the Catholic Diocese of Biloxi from 2009 until his retirement in 2016. “He was a kind
and gentle man who truly embodied his episcopal motto as one who walked humbly and acted justly.” (Bishop Louis Kihneman, WLOX News, 10/31/19.) Bishop Morin’s Funeral Mass was held at the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on November 7. He was buried in the Bishops’
Cemetery and Memorial Prayer Garden.
Veterans Day is November 11. Let us take a moment
to thank all of those who have defended our nation,
and ask that God will bless them and their families
for their service.
During the Month of November
Please remember to keep praying
for all of your deceased loved
ones and all of the other
faithfully departed.
Remember, your prayers help
them get out of Purgatory!
