HISTORY SMKN 1 Jakarta is the oldest vocational school in Indonesia. Founded by A Dutch Government named Koning Klike Wilhemnia School ( KWS) in 1906. The mission for this school/KWS is to prepare Indonesian and Dutch students to be a technician to build A Dutch East Indies After Proclamation, Indonesian Government changed this school to Sekolah Teknik Menengah (STM) or Technical High School At present STM becomes SMK (Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan) or Vocational High School
