• Earned Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education(K-6) with a concentration in Natural Sciences in 2004
• Earned Master of Education in Literacy in 2006
• Earned K-12 Principal Certification in 2011• Taught 2nd grade at Westmont Elementary in
Johnstown, Pa from 2005-2008

Homework Binder
Please check your child’s homework binder nightly!
Current spelling words are kept in the blue sleeve. Words are tested on Fridays.
Current math fact lists are kept in the yellow sleeve. Timed tests are given on Wednesdays.
Storytown
READING*robust vocabulary discussed orally in class*weekly story should be read at home once it has been shared in class*comprehension tests are given on Fridays—students read the tests independently
Students should read for at least 10 minutes nightly!
SPELLING*new lists given on Mondays*tests given on Fridays*challenge words are graded
WRITING/GRAMMAR*weekly writing and grammar activities correspond with what is being studied in Storytown*students also take some assignments through the writing process
