Yes: Continue to Section A.
No: If a technician installed it, go to Section C of this guide.
A. Connect the Set Top Box to your TV
Welcome to Rogers TVThis guide is designed to help you get your service set up quickly and easily,
so you can start enjoying great television sooner. It also includes information
on where to go for help if you run into any trouble along the way.
Note: Be sure to securely finger tighten all coaxial cable connections.
Note: Remember the name of the HDMI port you selected, e.g. HDMI 1 or HDMI 2. You will need this later on in Step 6.
1. Connect the end of the coaxial cable coming from
your wall to the CABLE IN port. Connect one end
of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port.
2. Connect the other end of the HDMI
cable to the HDMI port on the back
of your TV.
B. Authorize the Set Top Box
4. With your TV turned off, press
the CBL then PWR buttons on
your Rogers remote.
3. Connect one end of the power cord at the back of the set top box and the other
end to the wall outlet. Ensure the set top box is turned on.
5. Wait for the time to appear on the Set Top Box.
Note: To ensure the Set Top Box remains authorized and updated, keep the power cord and coaxial cable connected at all times.
6. Turn your TV on and set it to the input used in Step 2.
Most TVs can be connected to multiple video sources like DVD players or gaming
consoles. To view programming from your Set Top Box, your TV must be set to the HDMI
input you selected in Step 3. Change your TV input by pressing Input or
Source on your TV or by using your TV’s remote control.
7. Confirm your Set Top Box is authorized by pressing the PWR button on the
Rogers remote.
8. Change to channel 003.
Is channel 003 being displayed?
Yes: Continue to Section C on the reverse of this guide.
No: Channel 003 is not authorized. Call 1 866 894-9962 to have the Set Top Box
authorized. You will be asked for the phone number associated with your
Rogers account.
If you are using NextBoxTM 4K, please follow these additional steps:
• Press Menu (Settings) on your remote
• Go to Settings and Press OK
• Select Appearance
• Highlight UltraHD TV and Press OK
• Click Begin Test then select Confirm

C. Program your Rogers Remote
First, program the Rogers remote for your TV.
Since the Rogers remote control is a universal remote, you can program it for other
components by repeating the steps below and substituting the TV button with the
respective device button (DVD, Audio, etc.).
1. Press and hold SETUP until LED blinks twice.
2. Press TV mode key.
3. Press and hold OK.
4. Release key when TV turns off.
5. Press the POWER button to check whether it turns on the TV.
If you have a NextBox 3.0 or
NextBox 4K, follow these steps
to pair for Radio Frequency (RF).
RF allows you to control your
NextBox with your remote
without line of sight, through a
door or a wall.
Rogers On Demand
How do I order Rogers On Demand?
1. Tune to Channel 100 or press the On Demand
button on your Rogers remote.
2. If prompted, press A to access Rogers On Demand.
3. Go to the Movies or TV folder, press OK.
4. Select the program you want to watch, press OK.
5. Press Order and if prompted, enter PIN code.
Charges apply to some Rogers On Demand content.
What Is My PIN?
You can set two PINs − one for Parental Controls and another for buying content.
To enable or change your Parental Control or Purchase PIN:
1. Press Menu.
2. Scroll down and highlight Parental Control and press OK/SELECT.
3. Select LOCKING STATUS to enable and setup a new PIN or select CHANGE PIN.
4. To change your Purchase PIN, navigate to Purchasing and repeat the above steps.
5. To exit, press EXIT twice.
