Teaching Philosophy
UNIVERSAL CURRICULUM
Consists of:
• Syllabi• Detailed Class Outlines (lesson plans)
• Handouts
• Tests and Quizzes
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
• Goal – improve quality of teaching
• Train faculty on instructional techniques that work at PTI.
• Train on technology in the classroom and PTI recordkeeping systems
• Adjunct – required 8 hours pre-service training and 3 hours in-service
COMPENSATION
Level 11 coursework $41 per hour
Level 11A coursework $55 per hour
• Pay flat rate per course based on number of class hours (33 hour, 44 hours, and 55 hours)
• Compensation includes: – Prep time– Grading– Office hours– Faculty Development Training
