Head LiceHead Lice

Even during the summer months, we will conduct biweekly head lice checks. A notice will be posted on Friday to inform you of the inspection the following Monday morning.

Each child needs to be checked for lice during these inspections, and if any nits or live lice are found on your daughter, you will be contacted immediately and your daughter will need to be picked up at that time.

She will not be allowed to return until she has been reinspected by center staff and no further evidence of lice are found.

DisciplineDiscipline Girls Inc. is focused on having a fun and educational

summer for the girls as well as the staff. Therefore, we have established the center as a “No Bully Zone”. This means that we have a zero tolerance policy for bullying or violence.

Bullying will be addressed using nonviolence and mediation between the girls to peacefully address grievances.

Violence, meaning intentional physical contact between the girls for the purpose of hurting someone, will not be tolerated, and an immediate 1-day suspension will occur for girls who participate in violence. This includes the girl who did the hitting, as well as the other child if she retaliates.

We would encourage all of the girls to walk away from conflict, and seek out a program instructor for assistance.

PaymentsPayments

Payments for Summer Camp are due each Friday for the upcoming week. If payment is not received on Friday, your daughter will not be allowed to return to camp until payment is received. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

Bounced checks or a refusal to pay your bill will result in your account being turned over to a collection agency for follow-up, if necessary. We expect our parents to follow through with their financial commitments to us.

Late payments will incur a $5/day late fee. Payments made by check or money order can be left in the

Payment Box at the center. You may pay via Paypal or in the Admin office on Fridays from 3-6pm.

Summer Bridge Summer Bridge Education ProgramEducation Program

On days when the girls are not traveling to Field Trips or the Pool, all of the girls will all have an hour of school-related work review according to their grade.

This will take place each morning between 9-10am. United Way has asked us to provide this component as a

way to keep our campers sharp and ready for the upcoming school year.

Girls Inc. is asking that you have your daughter at the center by 9am each morning so she may participate in the Summer Bridge Program.
