Congratulations on being accepted to UAHuntsville. Transitioning from high school, another college, or out of the workforce can often be a bit overwhelming. Helping you get your UAHuntsville experience off to a smooth start is why we have created tailored Orientation programs just for you. At new student orientation you will not only register for classes, but also meet friends and make memories that will last a lifetime! Also Orientation is not just for students. Family sessions will help you and your family transition to college life by highlighting university resources that enhance the family college experience. Start your journey now. Registration for New Student Orientation begins April 1st!
The road to orientation is easy….Remember all students are required to successfully complete New Student Orientation.
1. Go to www.uah.edu/orientation.2. Follow the path that best fits. Whether you are a First-
time Freshman, Transfer, Non-Traditional or 2nd degree seeking student, we have an orientation for you!
3. For registration you will need your student identification number from your acceptance letter (hint: It starts with an “A” . )
4. Make sure to check-out the complete roadmap to UAHuntsville under the online resources tab.
5. All student orientation fees are charged to the student account and are payable when tuition is due at the start of the semester. The only cost of orientation prior to arrival on-campus is for family and guests. For the complete cost of family and guests please see the registration site.
6. All confirmations are sent via email following a successful registration.

HOW TO REGISTER/DATES
Helpful tip: Orientation registration is on a first come first serve basis. Register early!
CHECK LISTBring Personal Items•Current government-issued photo ID
(U.S. Driver’s License, State-Issued ID Card, Passport, or U.S Military ID) to obtain your Charger ID card.
•Casual/comfortable clothing and walking shoes
•Money for snacks or souvenirs
First-time freshmanOur First-Time Freshman New Student Orientation includes staying overnight in our residence halls. Check-out www.uah.edu/orientation for additional items to bring with you.

•High School Transcripts/Previous College Coursework Transcripts
•Advanced Placement/IB Scores/CLEP Courses
Complete Student Health Forms• Immunization Form. Before you can attend classes,
all new students, regardless of classification, must have acceptable proof of immunizations, vaccines, and TB screening. Please visit www.uah.edu/shc for the appropriate forms to complete.
Check-Out These College Life Essentials• Meal Plans. All full-time students are automatically
registered for a meal plan. Please make sure you view your meal plan options by visiting http://www.uah.edu/dining.
• Living On Campus. If you have not applied for housing or if you need to review the on-campus residency requirement please visit www.uah.edu/housing.
