To minimize transitions and foster personalization, Language Arts/Social Studies will be taught as an integrated block All middle school students will be offered opportunities to engage in honors level work in Language Arts/Social Studies through an integrated, differentiated program6th , 7th, and 8th graders will be scheduled into Physical Education/Fitness courses that teach and assess the Middle Level PE/Fitness standardsMiddle School Health standards will be taught and assessed in Middle Schools
What is Similar About Every Middle School in the District:
Middle school students will have access to World Language Year 1 as an elective in the 8th grade. This course is a credit-bearing course for high school graduationMiddle School will include regular time in their schedules for implementation of district anti-bullying curriculum and other school culture-building and/or personalization-focused activities
