BRIDGING TASKS...
Every subject this week will outline to you their bridging task.
In order to confirm your place in the Sixth Form in September, bridging tasks must be handed in to each subject that you are timetabled within at the start of Y12.
All bridging tasks will form part of the first assessment; they check your suitability for the courses selected and your work ethic for Sixth Form studies.
A copy of all bridging tasks can be found on the Sixth Form webpage.
SUPPORTED STUDY ROOM
No lessons are timetabled in there for this week, however, they will be in September.
If you have any non contact periods this week, and wish to wish to complete work towards your Bridging Tasks in the Study Room then you are very welcome, however, please follow the rules of the Study Room:
Work quietly.
No food.
The study room is open for use from 8:00am until 4:15pm. Think about making it part of your day.

Remember that Bridging Tasks need to be completed to confirm your enrolment; must be handed in to teachers during the first week of September.

In September you will need as a minimum:
1 lever arch folder per subject with dividers, or 1 ring binder per teacher.
Writing paper
Pens/pencils/ruler
BURSARY
You are entitled to receive bursary if:
Criteria 1 – you are in receipt of Income Support, a care leaver, in care, disabled.
Criteria 2 – you are eligible for Free School Meals = £20
Criteria 3 - your household income is below £24,611 = £10
Must have a current account in your name.
Remember that any change in circumstance during the year, let us know as Bursary can start at any point.
Applications forms for Bursary are available at the end of assembly, Sixth Form office and on the Sixth Form website.

STARTING BACK ...
THE SCHOOL DAY AS A SIXTH FORM STUDENT
Expected to attend all day!
Lates with the Sixth Form: If you are late then a 3:15pm detention will be issued for 15 minutes by Mrs Taylor (ensure you
have signed in).
Absence must be reported to the Sixth Form office (Ms Taylor Admin).
‘Non contact’ periods should be spent in the Study Room or Common Room. There must not be disturbance around the school.
If you leave the school premises, you must sign out and then back in on the Sixth Form signing out board by the Study Room.
You are not permitted to work during school hours and your timetable can be changed at any point during a school year.
SIXTH FORM VOLUNTARY FUND - £20
The Sixth Form Voluntary Fund is constituted to advance the Sixth Form students educational experience provided by the school. It is used to buy items to stock the study room which are exclusively for use of our Sixth Formers and to provide the resources to fund various projects to enhance and broaden the life and educational experiences that we offer to you.
