Thank you for choosing our CCD/CMOS cameras. These cameras are designed by Seekscope experienced

and hard-working engineers, aiming to provide quality vision system and services at affordable prices

without sacrificing quality.

This manual tells you what i-Views is and how to use it. The topics in the i-Views Installation and

Registration section explain how to get i-Views up and running on your system, and the Help Manual

describes how to work with i-Views and what i-Views can do for you. You can also find documentation for

all i-View commands in the Help Manual section.

1. Standard Configuration

Please check your package carefully to make sure that you have got the following items. If anything

missing or damaged, please contact the salesman immediately.

2. i-Views Install

2.1 System Requirements:

Hardness and Software Requirements

Processor Pentium III 800 MHz or up

RAM 1GB (recommended)

Video Display 128M (recommended)

Screen Resolution Minimum configuration: 1024×768 with 32-bit True Color

Hard Disk 1.5GB

DVD-ROM Required for installation only

Pointing Device 3 Button Mouse with scroll wheel, trackball and other device

2.2 Installation

1) Place the DVD into your computer's DVD drive. The following screen displays automatically. Select a

language, and then click OK to continue. (If the screen fails to appear, please go to the DVD drive to

view contents of the DVD with Windows Explorer. Double-click the i-views.exe file.)

2) Click Next to continue.

3) Click Browse to specify an installation folder for i-views. Alternatively, you can keep the default path.

And click Next to start the installation.

4) Click Install to begin the installation.

5) Please wait for the installation to complete. And click Finish to complete the installation.

3. Driver Install (e.g. 3mp ccd camera US300)

1. Place the DVD into your computer's DVD drive.

2. Connect UC500 to the PC via USB2.0 cable. And then go to the Device Manager

(Computer-Properties-Device Manager) to find 3.1M USB2.0 Camera, and update)

3. Click “Browse my computer for driver software” to continue.

4. Click Browse to find the driver of US300. And Click Next to continue the driver installation.

5. Click Install this driver software anyway to continue the installation.

6. Click Close to finish the installation.

4. Activation

After installation, all users can use i-Views Lite version software directly.

For Advanced Users, Seekscope has offered Dongle activation modes for i-Views Pro version. (Option)

Customer can use more feature such as multi focusing, Stitching etc. and for future version feature

support.

Dongle Activate

Dongle activate is very easy. Just plug the dongle into your computer, and then the functions are activated.

5. Imaging

5.1 Interface

Adopted QT technology, each window can be dragged randomly.

5.2 Color

（1） AWB ( Auto White Balance) : Suitable for observation under LED (white) light. For observation

under halogen (yellow) light, manual white balance is better.

If color deviation happened for the first preview, please move away the slice and click “AWB”.

（2） Manual WB (Manual White Balance): Search a white place in the eyepiece, and then find the

corresponding place in the preview image, click “Manual WB”.

（3） Saturation: differ with varied application environment and cameras. Under LED light observation,

saturation for CMOS camera suggested to be 120~140.

Analog Gain: amplify all signals, including noise.

Select preview resolution and capture resolution, click Apply.

Suggestions: low/middle resolution for preview, high resolution for capture.

6.2 Steps

（1）Click , select Unit Type, and enter Unit Size. (known size in X, Y or other direction).

（2）Select X, Y or arbitrary direction, and then draw a corresponding distance in the image. Click OK to

finish.

（3）After measurement, click to export and save .exceL file。

7. Multi Focus

7.1 Icons

：Add images into list view.

：Remove selected image from list view.

：Remove all images from image list.

：Show or hide the original image.

：Show or hide the target image.

：Split the view from left to right.

：Split the view from top to bottom.

：Start processing images.

7.2 Steps.

（1）Click to add images into thumbnail list.

（2）Click to execute multi-focus.

（3）Click Ok to finish.

8. Stitching

8.1 Icons

：Show or hide the original image.

Software Upgrade

（1）Principle:

Under the principle of voluntary upgrade, no compulsory should be made to the old users. Upgrade

or not shall not affect the use of old version of the software.

（2）Charges:

As per the contract, users of old version should be charged for a certain upgrade cost. For more

details, please contact sales@seekscope.com. After the upgrade, users can enjoy all updated

functions for free.

（3）Cross-version Upgrade

i-Views supports cross-version upgrade.

Upgrade Process

（1） Seekscope inform customer the upgrading information by phone, fax, letter, email, and

website notification.

（2） Customers contact the salesman for upgrading.

Q：Can i-Views software work with other CCD/CMOS cameras?

A: Sorry, i-Views can only work with Seekscope cameras now. If needs to support other cameras, please

contact us for integrating.
