Why do we have a theme?
• To promote school spirit and have fun throughout the year!
• To remind us of our school goal!
Student Expectations• School is a place for learning!• We keep it simple…Be here, Be on
time, and most important BE PREPARED!
Show your Eagle Pride!• Our school is beautiful and we
want to keep it that way! • We keep our school looking great
by:-Picking up trash when we see
it-Keeping our desks neat-At lunch, keeping your table
area clean and picking up your trash
Hallway behavior• Walk with your hands behind your
back and keep your feet to yourself.
• Walk quietly so you do not disrupt learning in other classes.
• Walk! Do not run in the halls.
Attendance• Be here everyday, be on time, be
prepared!• If you are absent, remember to
bring a note to the front office when you return to school.
• School starts at 7:45 a.m.
Arrival Procedures• If you arrive before 7:30 a.m., report to
the cafeteria.• Bike riders-there is a bike rack for you
to secure your bike in the front of the school.
• At 7:30 a.m. all students report to their designated hallway.
Dismissal Procedures• Bus riders and day care students
will be dismissed at 2:40 p.m and report to the front of the school.
• Bike riders-wait until after the buses leave to get your bikes.
• All other students go with their teachers to the side of the school to be picked up by parents in the turn around
Safety tips to remember
• Don’t go anywhere without your parent’s permission.
• Never accept a ride from anyone without your parent’s permission.
• We do not allow any students to walk home.
If you forget something
• You can use the phone in the office to call home when you have permission from your teacher.
• Be polite when asking the office staff to use the phone (Say please and thank you).
Cafeteria Procedures• Your teacher will walk your class to
the cafeteria.• You will sit with your homeroom
class at your assigned table.• If your table has good behavior, on
Fridays you may be dismissed 10 minutes earlier to have more play time.
• When the whistle blows outside line up with your class quickly
Cafeteria Procedures• We have 3 lines to enter the café
bays. Stay in-between the lines.• Only 10 students will be allowed to
enter the cafeteria bay at one time.
• As one student gets their food and leaves, another will enter.
• All balls will be turned in to an administrator.
• “Being Quiet” is our main goal.
Get a GRIP on good character…
• We promote our six pillars of good character: To be TRUSTWORTHY, To show RESPECT, To be RESPONSIBLE, To be FAIR and to be CARING and show good citizenship.
• If you have a small problem try one of these…-Wait and cool off-Talk it out-Walk away and ignore it-Tell them to stop-Make a deal-Apologize
• Gossip- Don’t Repeat it! Don’t Believe it! Don’t listen to it!
• If you have a big problem, tell an adult you trust!
We show our students we care by:
• When you do something extra special in class, you can earn a HOTLINE call. Mr. Patti, Mr. Bretado Ms. J. Esparza and Mr. Solis will call your parents and brag about what a good student you are!
• Attendance rewarded by winning an attendance flag for your class for the week.
• Ice cream party for best attendance by grade level once a six week period.
• Nominated for terrific kids on a weekly basis.
Drop Off and Dismissal• Always cross at the crosswalks not
the middle of the street.• Always tell your teacher your mom
or dad is here to pick you up.
