Thank you for your flexibility with respect to our meetings.

1 Nehemiah 8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused [them] to understand the reading. 8

This is the goal of our preaching and teaching today.

May God give us wisdom and Holy Spirit power as we open up the Word of God for rightful division. Pray for your Senior Pastor and Deacons as they make decisions.

We addressed a possibility for this situation a few weeks ago.

So I put this slide up for you to consider.

This slide is to ‘generate’ thought.

Remember that managers solve problems, while executives anticipate them. 2

Our Senior Pastor, our Deacons, and our people should be anticipating thissituation.

This includes considering options for meeting, in case we can’t meet.

It also includes how we deal with our church debt,

And how we proceed with ministry options.

I make inputs; so we are not surprised later.

That protects the Pastor, the Deacons, and the sheep.

That is because, we are all in training at IIBC.

Pastors and Deacons lead their sheep around and, or through problems, withGod’s help.

We start our sermon with ‘a bit’ of review.

Last week we passed out our IIBC Constitution.

So this morning I will start with a short review on:오늘 아침에 잠깐 복습해 보겠습니다.

What is membership at IIBC? IIBC

This may surprise some people.

Nevertheless, I bring it up, because this is what The Bible and the IIBC Constitution says.

Explain the slide: Truly 100% saved. 진정으로 100% 구원을 받은 사람o You can know for 100% sure that you will go to heaven when you

die? That is one reason that we meet at IIBC.

To help lost sinners know for sure that they are saved! 4

We do not want anyone, anywhere to go to hell.

- Baptized by immersion, after 100% saved.

• No sprinkling. 물을 뿌리는 세례는 아닙니다.• No alien baptism (Church of like doctrine and practice).

• Discuss IIBC Constitution with Senior Pastor.

목사님과 IIBC 헌법에 대해 논의해 보세요.• If in agreement with doctrine, Pastor presents the candidate for

membership.

So, we have just identified a small problem currently here at IIBC.

We haven’t been doing that formally.

But: 그러나:

1) We have recently made 100 Copies of the IIBC Constitution and passed

them out. 2) I am going to suggest that the Senior Pastor secure the services of a

Secretary (or Personnel Specialist (PS)) from the congregation..

Good organization keeps things decent and in order. 5

a. The PS will come up with a list and confirm it with the Senior

Pastor (and keep it current quarterly).

i. Name, 이름,

ii. Phone, 전화번호,

iii. Address 주소iv. Social Media. 소셜미디어v. 100% saved.

vi. Baptized by immersion. Pastoral Interview.

viii. Wants to become member Yes/No/ 교인이 되기를 원하는지(예/아니요)

b. When ready; we’ll have a Baptism and or Membership service.

3) One reason for a Quarterly Business Meeting (Directed by the IIBC

Constitution) is to review Finances

AND the other reason is to: 그리고 또 다른 이유는:

Discuss candidates who the Pastor recommends for membership.

That is why the Church calendar should have a Quarterly Staff Meeting

Scheduled in front of the Quarterly Business Meeting.

Why we should conduct those meetings together quarterly.

- So, unless the Pastor says no, I’d like these meetings placed upon the IIBC Calendar for 2021.

Good organization keeps things decent and in order. 6

The Scripture:

Context: Last week Joseph, the #2 man in Egypt, saw his brothers for the first time in over 17 years. They did not recognize him. He DID recognize them. They had not changed one iota. Joseph tested his brothers. This week we will see in what manner Joseph sent the boys back home.

Genesis 42:21 And they said one to another, We [are] verily guilty

concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he

besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us. 21¶ 그들이 서로 이르되, 우리가 우리 동생에 관하여 참으로 죄를 지었도다.

Remember that Joseph is listening to this as ‘the boys’ [grown men]

speak.

We [are] verily guilty concerning our brother,

therefore is this distress come upon us.

22 And Reuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do

not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also

his blood is required.

Let’s come to Reuben’s defense here a bit.

Reuben had messed up with Bilhah (Jacob’s Concubine.).

He convinced the other brothers to put Joseph in a pit. 6

He was distraught, after they sold Joseph away (unbeknowest to him).

[He knew then that he has ‘blown’ the firstborn’s responsibility.]

6 Compare: Genesis 37:19 And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh.

20 Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.

21 And Reuben heard [it], and he delivered him out of their hands; and said, Let us not kill him.

22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, [but] cast him into this pit that [is] in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.

22 르우벤이 또 그들에게 이르되, 피를 흘리지 말라. 그를 광야에 있는 이 구덩이에 던지고 그에게 손을 대지 말라, 하니 이것은 그가 그를 그들의 손에서 빼내어 다시 자기 아버지에게 건네주려 함이더라. 23 And it came to pass, when Joseph was come unto his brethren, that they stript Joseph out of his coat, [his] coat of [many] colours that [was] on him;

24 And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit [was] empty, [there was] no water in it.24 그를 붙잡아구덩이에 던졌는데 그 구덩이는 비어 있고 그 속에는 물이 없더라. 25 And they sat down to eat bread: and they lifted up their eyes and looked, and, behold, a company of Ishmeelites came from Gilead with their camels bearing spicery and balm and myrrh, going to carry [it] down to

Egypt. 26 And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit [is it] if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?26 유다가 자기 형제들에게 이르되, 우리가 우리 동생을 죽이고 그의 피를 숨긴들 무슨 유익이 있으리요?

27 Come, and let us sell him to the Ishmeelites, and let not our hand be upon him; for he [is] our brother [and]

our flesh. And his brethren were content.27 오라, 우리가 그를 이스마엘 족속에게 팔고 우리 손을 그에게 대지 말자.

28 Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold

Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty [pieces] of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.28

29 And Reuben returned unto the pit; and, behold, Joseph [was] not in the pit; and he rent his clothes.29¶

[I can’t explain why Reuben left Joseph alone. His brothers surprised him with their treachery.]

23 And they knew not that Joseph understood [them]; for he spake unto

them by an interpreter.

24 And he turned himself about from them, and wept; and returned to

them again, and communed with them, and took from them Simeon, and

bound him before their eyes.

Joseph almost ‘lost it’ here.

Joseph wept.

and thus did he unto them.

Translator: We will go line by line through the Invitation bullet statements this morning!

INVITATION: Every head bowed and every eye closed, please. Christians: Confess knownsin; then pray for God to bless the Invitation.

Three questions:

1. Are you saved?

Are you born again from above? If You died today are your 100% sure that you would go to heaven. If you are not saved, we would love to take a Bible and show you how you can know for sure that you are saved.

2. Have you been baptized by immersion, since salvation, in a church of like faith and practice?

If you are saved and have not yet been baptized by immersion, I would like you to let Pastor Tchah know that this morning.

The Lord Jesus was baptized by immersion by John the Baptist.

The Disciples and Apostles were baptized by Immersion.

The Lord Jesus commanded his disciples to preach and teach the Gospel, baptizing those who got saved. 14

Baptism therefore, is a command to be obeyed.

There is nothing to be nervous about. We are family and friends here.

3. Are you ready to meet God?

a. We all should be ready to pray, to give testimony about the Lord, or to pass away.

14 Matthew 28:18  And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and inearth. Mat 28:19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Mat 28:20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hymn: 478 – Pass Me Not O Gentle Saviour. IIBC Invitation

ARE YOU SAVED?

This is the question of the ages. Men were created to worship their Creator. Youcan know for 100% sure t hat you are saved. To understand this, you’ll need to get out your Bible and look at a few verses.

1. All men are sinners. Read Romans 3:10

As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one: and Romans 3:23

For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

- Are you a sinner?

2. There is a penalty for sin. Read Romans 5:12

Wherefore as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men for that all have sinned.

and Romans 6:23.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

- Has death passed upon you?

- What wage do you earn for your sin?

3. Jesus paid the penalty for your sin on the cross of Calvary and offers you eternal life as a free gift. Read Romans 6:23 (above) again:

- What is the gift of God? Who gives this gift?

- Can a gift be bought? Can a gift be earned?

- If you rejected this free gift; would it

still be a gift?

4. How did God demonstrate His love for us? Read Romans 5:8.

But God commendeth His love towards us in that we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

- Did Christ die personally for you? Did Jesus

suffer on the cross?

Page 29: Welcome to everyone, and Especially

Joseph’s Brethren Fill Their Sacks With Corn – Genesis Chapter 42b, 13 December 2020, ©IIBC, by I.M. A Christian

-- Why did he suffer so

horribly?

- Is there an empty grave outside Jerusalem?

- Where is the body of Jesus?

-If Jesus was dead in a tomb, wouldn't the Jewish

leaders have dug Him up and shown the disciples

the evidence of his corpse?

5. How can you be born again? Read Romans 10: 9 – 10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart thatGod hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

and Romans 10:13

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

- Are you a whosoever? Have you ever called upon the name of the Lord in prayer?

— Prayer is simply you

talking to God.

- If you have never yet asked the Lord to save you, why not pray the sinners prayer now?

Dear Lord have mercy on me. I know I am a sinner. I know you died onCalvary's cross for me. I accept you now as my personal Lord and Savior. Please forgive me of all my past sins, all my present sins, and all my future sins. Help me know that I am saved forever. In Jesus name. Amen.

Read Romans 10:13 again. Are you saved?

IIBC GOSPEL TRACT: ARE YOU SAVED?

Some people don’t normally want to get into a conversation about death.

After all, that is sometime in the future.

How do you bring up such a conversation with someone?

Death IS a reality in our life.

If you are young, then you have had older friends and relatives pass away.

If you are older, grandparents, aunts, uncles, parents and dear ones havepreceded you already into the afterlife.

It is a sad reality, but, we all will die someday.

We just are unsure about what day that will be.

The Bible is very clear in that it says that we can know that we are saved (in fact, have everlasting life).

The Apostle John wrote about this in: 1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Good organization keeps things decent and in order. 31

Page 32: Welcome to everyone, and Especially

- “That ye may know that ye have eternal life”.

- “너희에게 영원한 생명이 있음을 너희가 알게 하고”o The word ‘Eternal’ means: perpetual, forever, everlasting. 15

‘Eternal’

의 뜻: 영구한, 영원한, 영속적인o God Almighty wants you to know for sure that you have eternal

life.

Having made that introduction, I can now ask you an very important question:ARE YOU SAVED?

This is the question of the ages.

Men were created to worship their Creator.

You can know for 100% sure t hat you are saved.

To understand this you’ll need to get out your Bible and look at a few verses.

15 All Scripture in this sermon taken from the King James Version (via e-sword, reference (Ref:), www.e-sword.net ) or the Korean King James Version (KKJV, Ref: http://www.keepbible.com ). When you come to a Bible verse, please read it out loud. 16

1. All men are sinners. Read Romans 3:10.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:로마서 3:10 이것은 기록된바, 의로운 자는 없나니 단 한 사람도 없으며Righteous: Innocent holy. 17

No one is innocent before God. No one is holy before God.

and Romans 3:23 그리고 로마서 3:23

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

로마서 3:23 모든 사람이 죄를 지어 [하나님]의 영광에 이르지 못하더니;

Sin [sinned]: Miss the mark, offend, transgress. 18

- If ‘all have sinned’; then are you a sinner? [Yes]. 19

2. There is a penalty for sin. Read Romans 5:12.

16 How do we know that the Bible is true? The number one reason that we can believe the Bible is that Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, rose again from the grave after three days and nights. Where is the body of Jesus?

- There are some portions of this tract where it would be wise for you to look up some reference verses in the Bible by yourself.

17 Ibid, SC. 같은 책 SC.에서18 Ibid. 19 Being sons of Adam we are all born as sinners. Later, we choose to sin. By doing that, we become responsible for our own sin, and cannot blame it on Adam. It is our fault.
