WHAT ARE NATURAL RESOURCES?

Earth is the only one planet on which life exists. Life on earth is dependent upon many factors such as the land, the water, the air, the living things, ambient temperature, food etc. These life supporting factors which are already available on the earth are called natural resources.

THE BREATH OF LIFE : AIR

What is air? Air is a mixture of different types of gases

like nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide as well as water vapour etc.

Eukaryotic cells and many prokaryotic cells need oxygen for cellular respiration to get energy from the food.

Green plants convert carbon dioxide into glucose and provide food to all the biotic community.

FUNCTIONS OF ATMOSPHERE

IN CLIMATE CONTROL:- The average temperature of earth is fairly steady during the day and also during the whole year but it ranges from -190˙C to 110˙C in the moon.

IN THE MOVEMENT OF AIR:WIND:- Uneven heating of the earth’s surfaces(i.e. on land and water) wind is created.

RAIN: By evaporation and condensation rain occurs.
